Thread is open now. Feel free to talk about any of the changes listed here. Unfortunately, the AKB48 Official Blog is slacking, so I had to take this information off AKB48 Matome instead. That said, AKB48 Matome is right most of the time so I'm confident enough to translate off of them and post it here. If any information contradicts official sources whenever they're up, I will correct it at that point. I know you're all eager to discuss and there's too many rumors floating around out there, so I thought it would be in everyone's interest to open this up now.

Spoiler: thoughts

• Kawaei grad is very, very sad. The incident robbed her of her legitimacy so to speak because anything good she got was gonna be "oh it's because she was attacked" and anything bad was gonna be "oh it's because she was attacked". I believe she made the right choice and I think she will have a successful career outside of AKB even though she never became an ace like she had the potential to be but that's ok, because there's other ways to have success in 48g other than becoming center. I'm glad she is in the 40th single sembatsu, it's a nice and appropriate send-off.
• NGT kennins/transfers lel what. I guess it was bound to happen, and given the success of Sasshi's transfer it makes sense! Since it's Rie and Yukirin I'm sensing a specific aesthetic that they'll be going for with this group (?) I'm happy for Rie. She is lovely, charismatic and underutilized. Also looking forward to all two of Yukirin's upcoming NGT theatre performances.
• SNH will keep SaeYannu (in spirit) forever. Which is fine, Sae contributes a lot to SNH. For example, she says "xiexie" sometimes. /s
• TANOTOMU (!) are together, and along with Mariyagi and Mion I think it's safe to say K just got sexier
• I hope the lack of a Meru kennin (given the rest of ttc! being together now) is not signifying that they are classifying her as a "fail push" because I think that's premature. She's great and would have been much better received if not for the "Haruppi's struggle" thing.
• Who is Sakaguchi Nagisa
• On a positive note, many of these moves really "fit" a lot better than the clusterfuck that resulted from Daisokaku. (Although obviously some good came out of it ) even though I liked the unexpected groupings a bit. Like getting to see Natsumikyan interact with her favourite sempai. And Milky in Kareha. But on a totally shallow first instinct basis, this shuffle had nice results to me:
• "YAS" to: Yui as captain of A, Naanya and Miho to A, Miichan as captain and Haruu as vice-captain of K.
• Lol at two children running B. Poor Mocchi.
• I guess that Daisokaku was a chance for a bunch of experimental kennin/transfer in preparation for the real deal while keeping a lot of the ones that worked. Though I wish they would have ended Sayanee's kennin in K but I'm glad Jurina stays in K, I guess they are not ready to fully transfer her yet.
• I hope they do not shuffle SKE. I guess it is likely but I really love Team S. I think KII will be fine if they have Churi, Nao, Kaotan, Ego and GOUDOCHAN /bias.
• I was happy for Kaori at first but now it seems they've ruined her eternal kks gimmick. I guess it is likely she won't accept, who knows.

Conclusion: I am a very fragile being and sudden unexpected shuffles are not good for my heart. But I can definitely live with it lol. I have written on here already that I wish a shuffle will not happen so that the teams can have some chemistry like the original teams, I think that was a huge part of what got you attached to the AKB concept. But it happened anyway. Oh well!

 

I figured this was going to happen honestly.

Acchan Graduation = Shuffle
Yuko Graduation = Shuffle
Takamina Graduation = Shuffle.

I'm guessing next one will be for when Mayuyu, Paruru, and Yui Graduate (unless they all graduate in the same year lol.)

 

Team K should push Yagi again from now on.

 

The last shuffle for team k was the wrong move anyways.

They just kennind and move some big name girls to K.

What they shouldve just done was push some of the K girls instead.

Will be interesting now seeing as theyve effectively reverted their changes and then took away even more members.

What... kawaei announced graduation , and she said it's due to the incident, that she's unable to attend anymore handshake events.

I'm sad now.

My kami oshi takamina and ni oshi kawaei will be gone. I don't really have a third oshi.

Mako and Yui out of Team K yet Jurina, Ayanee and Kodama's kennin remain. huh... what kind of mess is that?

well there's big ones, there's no regular senbatsu left in team K, looking from the list its probably be Mion as the K rep

Still wondering if Kawaei's gonna participate in SSK, and they should've put Meru instead of Mio. Plus NGT with Yukirin would be a total mess
