Has no one posted the oricon figure yet?
    day 2 12,681 (total is 194,106)

That's a pretty big difference (45k). It's almost like they're adding the previously used SS figures and the oricon sales together :p

It is probably Theater Editions that have yet to ship.

Or maybe SoundScan is counting international sales, while it is known Oricon does not. That is a big number for foreign sales though.

Or one of the two just fu**ed up.:awesome:

    Hometown support is very important.
+ bigger city mean bigger base of operation = far bigger exposure.

You can't turn one corner without at least get a reminder of AKB in Tokyo (Biggest metropolis city of the whole freaking planet), will that be the case in
Fukuoka for HKT? (Not a very big city)
Or Nagoya for SKE? (You know, the place filled with old building and castles?)
Or even Osaka for NMB? (The wild-west, harsher part of Japan)

The answer is a straight no.

Is it really that hard to understand?

I think people misunderstand how regional Japan is. It's very much a cultural thing.
In Japan, even TV is regional. Stuff airs first in the home-area of the show, then might be repeated 3 weeks later on other local networks(might!).

One would think most 48G fans are at least remotely aware of this, seeing how they usually joke about

"Can I say this about my teammates? Oh this show don't air in my hometown? In that case?"
"Be careful with what you say about your senpais, this show is on Hulu, not regional TV"

In the early days of AKB (Sometime around 10nen Zakura), despite being rather popular in Tokyo already, Yuko could walk through a University in Osaka during lunch hour and only have 1 or 2 students that recognizes her. (To add to that, a freaking cameraman with a huge camera is walking next to her, creating more attention)

doesn't oricon include CD Japan sales? I heard that many years ago, maybe they used to and then ceased. or I was lied to.

Cdjapan was included before oricon decided to stop counting any CDS that were sold overseas. Cdjapan is just neowing branded for overseas sales, the sales counted as from there.

Gosh, an earthquake hit Kyushu (island where Fukuoka/Hakata is, though the earthquake is on Kumamoto) last night. How will this affect the sales...?

I don't know how much it affects sales, I'm just hoping the people there are all right.

If it's a big quake, then it will undoubtedly affected the sales.

But like @kyoto48☀︎☂ says... The safety of human lives are far more important that the sales.

Magnitude 6.5. Not BIG, but not small either. 9 dead so far, over 760 injured.

I remember Northridge, and Loma Prieta, and Landers. My heart goes out to the families of the deceased, and those injured.

6.5 cracked one of my city's harbor and University building.

And Wellington is a rather earthquake proof city. (Constant renovation and strengthening going on)

I was not saying 6.5 is trivial. In fact, I even said it was not a small quake. A 6.5 sits on the upper range of a moderately powerful quake. Property damage is expected. I have seen cracked foundations in quakes between 5 and 4.

But 6.5 is not a BIG one. People should not be dying, buildings should not be falling. Not in a country like Japan. That is why this is doubly tragic, it was avoidable.:(
