AKB shuffle with a bit of kouhaku to be honest.

Well, last big concert for the graduating members except Kojiharu so make it worth while. We'll see the team lineup when it's out.

Finally, they announce the date. Looking forward to line up, who 'll be a captain each team
I hope gen 16 will debut in this event.
I guess Rika, Hana, Aayan, Yuiyui will have a unit performance. They have a strong push in this year.

Wait, the shuffle thing is official or is a speculation?

I think it is a speculation. The other group had already done their shuffle, thus doing an AKB only shuffle in an AKB group event is probably not right, unless they will announce some transfers and kennins. Then again, management can pretty much do what they want to do, you know, like having Kouhaku selection.

Uhm, I think the previous posters just meant shuffle into teams red and white for the event.... Shuffle in the sense of unusual groupings performing songs that they don't normally.

Imho they're about due an actual team shuffle now anyway, especially with all these grad announcements, but heyho. I'd definitely like to see a 16th gen debut either here or at the 11th anniversary stage show (and D2 promotion as well).

My other hope for this event is that they don't have a dump song on each team. Last year, each team did a christmas song with 20+ "unimportant members we don't care about" basically. It was just so blatant. I'd like them to be a little more subtle about their complete disinterest in these members and their total lack of future in AKB! Actually looking at the list for last year's Shirogumi "Christmas Eve ni Nakanai you ni", 6/22 members have graduated or announced grad now.

    Hype.

I believe there has been a rumour floating around since the 16'SSK that in spring 17 the next shuffle will happen. Though now that NMB has done theirs and HKT, SKE, AKB just added their newest gen it might get pushed back to just before the SSK or after.

Ofcourse they will have a dump song, or else those girls will have to songs to perform.

Since they're not doing the AKB-only RH this year, they could make this an AKB-only concert or something.
With Team 8 and the 16th gen they have more than enough girls to make a good show.:glare:

If there's another (god forbid) shuffle coming, it'll probably be once Kojiharu leaves.

I want them to cover other idol groups' songs. Such as GEM's Spotlight.

    But isn't it just a one-day concert?
The other being the Thanksgiving thing, which is probably Kojiharu being silly on stage. :^^;:

A shuffle at this point is ridiculous though.
Like, they literally have no members to shuffle.
Take kennins and announced graduations away and we have:

    A: 11 members
    K: 14 members
    B: 12 members
    4: 16 members

Among those there are the senbatsu members who do close to nothing in the theatre, so the numbers are even more ridiculous.
The only way they can fill the teams up to 16 again is with transfers from other groups and I doubt that's happening (like the SG don't have enough problems as they are), so... no, I don't think it's happening.

What they have to do is introduce the KKS already and have them subbing in asap.
And looking at the numbers above, I wouldn't be surprised if they indeed took in those 30-something tentative KKS. Every team could do with 10 new members (except for 4).

Yeah, if the first batch of 16th gens can be ready to debut by Kouhaku that would be ideal.

Annin doesn't do HS or 2-Shots since the 2014 incident.

    @Shuffle

Well now that NMB has attached KKS to teams, they could always do a shuffle and go the 4senbatsu + 7 theater+ 6-8KKS girls setup for each team. Assuming 16th gen is going to be a big ass one, as in 20+.
I'd also fear for T4, as a break up isn't that far fetched and it is not like management hasn't made wrong/unpopular decisions before.

If management wants drama they can always reshuffle Team 8 into the other four teams and reboot Team 8 with new girls from each prefecture.

    The outrage and the tears!

You just like to see the world burn.

I think management knows that the current Team 4 is the best thing they have. It's the other 3 that need a lifting.

and the best way to lift these teams is to disband current team 4 and have its members strengthen the others... on mgmnt standpoint, would u rather have 1strong team & 3 amateurish ones... 16th gen will debut on the 11th anniv. maybe they can form new team 4...
