I'm pretty sure it was only in the very beginning. They decided to use HOMMA afterwards.

[Edit] BTW I've seen only this official example with N so far.

    More and more examples:
This Hinatan's goods is from Today's concert:

There must be no more doubts, right? ;)

When I see Honma I think of ほんま and when I see Homma I think of ほっま so I probably would pronounce them differently.

Yeah, and it's Honma... But feel free to go with AKB's counter-intuitive way...

You say it's counter-intuitive because you're too used to a type of romanization called Hepburn. But you should know that there's some other romanization systems in use in Japan. Even in the Hepburn romanization there's a difference between traditional and mofied concerning the syllabic n (ん). Feel free to take a look: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hepburn_romanization#Syllabic_n
It seems the name Homma follows the traditional romanization. What we can do?
    And it's not AKB-only thing. There's another example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masaharu_Homma
You're free to disagree but I think there's nothing else I can show you about this subject.

[Edit] Please, research things a little more. It won't kill anybody.

True, and I'd usually pronounce this as Honma also...but it's either that, or have this conversation every 3 months with one person or another bringing up about why her name on the wiki is Honma while all her merchandise is Homma [hehe]
And if another member comes up with the family name 本間 and writes it "Honma" in romaji then that's great! But for now, if the two members want it as Homma who are we to judge :D

I'm not basing this on nothing. I know the background of Japanese romanisation and I'm perfectly aware of older variants.

I still contend that keeping the n is:
    (a) 10x more common (google any name, e.g. "honma/homma hinata" and note the amount of hits each gets. This works for every name I tried),
    (b) better for transliteration because it's not changing the spelling and doesn't confuse anyone with ほっま
    (c) in the case of Honma/Homma, (n) is more likely to result in the proper pronunciation from people who don't speak Japanese.
And this is why Hepburn was modified. Because m in this case is counter-intuitive and even obstructive.

So I disagree with AKB's use.
That doesn't mean I necessarily disagree with you changing the wiki.
Because matching with AKB, even if they're wrong, is a fairly logical decision.

I agree with some points of yours. I'd rather Honma too. But the main point is, as @MeoJim mentioned, all her merchandise is Homma. The less the differences the better.

lol man people working in AKB probably doesn't have too much of a sense or that they care a dungaroo or two about the English or Romaji use

I'm with you bro, I'd say go for "Honma" cuz we know our Romaji's but wiki-wise unless we send an e-mail or whatever to them telling they messed up, the use of "Homma" will be the official lol

    ===============================

Also in fact I would want to raise another interesting translation issue.

    (The AKB's Thumbnail's 8th album's side B's M13 song name is バケット)
    http://shopping.akb48-group.com/selection/detail/1/49423

The reason for being is cuz I see Tano-chan doing a eating gesture in this video that sparked my attention

    http://hkt48douga.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-7893.html

And I'm wondering if the management made a rookie mistake from baguette バゲット into bucket バケット (Or is it interchangeable?)

And even the lyrics are singing about eating, taste and life and stuff. And since the normal members right now in the forums is following the official song title "bucket" バケット I just can't help to figure this out.

It would be real funny if they actually messed this up. Someone in AKS needs to get fired lol

If you put バケット in google sensei's translate it's bucket, but if you type it up on search engine it gives pictures of breads lol

Sweet, thank God I'm not delusional.

BTW, if you hear the lyrics, it's about bread after all.

    バケット、バケット、バケット、思い出すよ
    Baketto, baketto, baketto, omoidasu yo
Baguette, baguette, baguette, I still remember

    あの頃2人で食べた1つのフランスパン
Ano koro futari de tabeta hitotsu no furansu pan
That single baguette (pain français) the two of us ate together.

[Edit] Bucket is known in Japan as バケツ (Baketsu, Buckets).

I noticed another small thing yesterday. When you go to the Nogizaka's 1st Gen page and scroll down to the chart Himeka appears there twice.
