Watched last night. (Yes the HKT one as well). I thought this was better.

Absolutely heart breaking when Fuuko gets sushi with family. Impossible not to have a tear in the eye

    Raise your arms and twist
... and come to Frankfurt in Germany!

    http://www.nipponconnection.com/pro...r-arms-and-twist-documentary-of-nmb48-en.html

in three weeks on saturday evening this documentary will be screened at a cinema in Frankfurt as part of NipponConnection International Film Festival.
I visit this festival every year, because it is only 40km away.

It is very familiar, you can get in touch with actors, producers and directors.
I thought about getting a press accredidation and schedule an interview with the director Funahashi-san.

I watched the BluRay and the DVD-bonus recently, Fanahashi seems to be able to answer to english questions in english.
Getting an interpreter shouldn´t be a problem.

Would there be any questions anyone of you wants answered?

My first post here! I found this thread actually searching for information about NMB and the documentary (the documentary makes it seem like NMB is the least popular AKB-based group and I guess the lack of English information/fansites kind of reflects that).]
The film was screened in Toronto a few days ago, but the director couldn't make it - he definitely speaks English - the only thing that would be interesting to know is whether or not management was okay with him showing some of the negative aspects of NMB. There's stuff like the girl that has no fans who quits soon after, or the fact that the film as a whole makes NMB really seem like the black sheep of the family in terms of popularity.

That said, this portrayal is probably the primary reason that it's being selected at international film festivals, since it's a somewhat unvarnished look at the idol industry.

(Perhaps the only other thing that would be interesting to know is whether or not Ririka actually quotes Nietzsche when not shooting the movie.)

Do you happen to know which group subbed it and if there's a soft sub file available? :)

Ririka wrote a book about philosophy.

It is called Live dangerously (Leben Sie gefährlich) which is a quote by Nietzsche.
All other 48 documentaries showed the dark side, the image of Maeda´s giant poster beeing torn apart at night might be the deepest.
Or all the scandal dropouts that were featured in No Flower.

Oh, is that so? A friend told me that this documentary was fairly unpopular compared to the other documentaries (at least among fans), in part because of how the group was depicted in the film.

Have previous documentaries also made film festival runs? To me, it almost seems unprecedented for a film that's been available on BD to make a festival run, even if it's been subbed for the first time.
