Sometimes I imagine myself as a musician. I prefer to be a band's lead guitarist but being vocalist is goo either, I wish my voice was like Jonas Bjerre's (vocalist of Mew) or even Jonsi's (vocalist of Sigur Ros) ones.
The High Kings (Irish folk band), The Rogues (American celtic band), Kodo (taiko troupe), Wagakki, Top Secret Drum Corps, Takarazuka Revue. These are my favourite for now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Golden Bomber anyone? if the video does not show watch the video here SEKAI NO OWARI is very nice too if the video does not show watch the video here Sakanaction as well, recommend to watch this mv to the end you will be surprised if the video does not show watch the video here
The exact opposite of idol. Instrumental Metal. if the video does not show watch the video here if the video does not show watch the video here They kind of do , but with all the stunning visuals and melody that are inherent in idol. Idol Metal if the video does not show watch the video here
Oh instrumental metal. I listen to post-rock which most bands are instrumental, except likes of Sigur Rós. Well metal idol song would be like Babymetal & Passcode. Meanwhile, there's now an idol group specialized in shoegaze, ········· (@dotstokyo).
Sekai no Owari. Already being an indie band that replaces real drummer with a DJ before The xx. The DJ, DJ Love already being an anonymous masked DJ with hilarious personality before Marshmello. One of Japanese artists I wanna see.
@marioworldakb @x_AozoraKataomoi_x do you like toe, Japanese math rock / post-rock band? if the video does not show watch the video here Their earlier songs are mostly instrumental but some of their recent songs feature vocals. They went to my city last year but I missed it because I was in another city, expecting to see them live someday.
Just found out my musics actually are: Jpop (girls only, idol & anisongs) Alternative/Indie Post-rock Ambient Shoegaze/dream pop Folk Emo Pop punk
Oh, seems like I'm not alone with my 'anti-idol-musictaste'. My favourite band at the moment is August Burns Red. (Metalcore) Heavy metal is basically everything I hear. Well, a bit rock and some anime openings. From time to time I listen to instrumental house-mix.
I originally thought I was the only metalhead in the world that was secretly into J-Pop. Reading through this thread, I stand corrected lol. Bonus points if the Genres are mixed (Babymetal, Ladybaby, Kamen Joshi I love you! :'D) I also dabble into EDM, rap, and classical, among others haha
Listening to Kimi no Na Wa soundtrack, well, Radwimps could be like Radiohead. On that album they played not only alternative as their usual but also some other genres such as jazz, classical, even edgier genres such as post-rock, math rock, ambient, & noise. I hope in future releases they would be getting edgy.
As a long time (but now less active) k-pop fan, I was very pleased to find out that one of my all time faves has started her own YT channel Kang Min Kyung of Davichi https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfqVrM2cvwxG3-EvxbsN0KQ even till this day, she'll definitely rank in as K-pop's best combo of beautiful face with beautiful voice (or is it beautiful voice with beautiful face? either way, doesn't matter. minki jjang!) together with Lee Haeri, Davichi has always been that steady constant providing a song (mainly ballads) for any occasion or mood (even EDM as well! God, I really loved 8282 back in those days) so give her a subscribe she says that she's even starting to sub her own videos as part of learning English Addit: Her most recent upload: if the video does not show watch the video here Wow can she cook! And that peking duck dinner with Haerii, Lyn and Baek Ji Young. That's probably like the top voices of modern Korean music this turn of the century
Bang Dream just announced the franchise first all male band, Argonavis. First single released next February. Bushiroad stated that the male band is not going to appear with the original 5+1 female bands. Maybe Argonavis gonna get their own anime & mobage. Um, looks like Bang Dream is influenced by Im@s but they're bands?
