Aki or Mikurin?or maybe Amane?

 

This single is in a disadvantage position because of the same release as NMB and mizugi surprise and on top of that people really like to apply AKB single hs for HKT member rather than this single because of the gimmick and the place

Hope the first week sale will be better

 

Yeah, this is weird. HKT48 single releasing on the same day as NMB48 album?

There's a chance that BOYS and MEN could top out HKT48 for the weekly #1 ranking, but it's too early to tell with only one day of data... We'll just have to wait and see...

 

ehh.. we've been through this before. Judge a single more on its first week sales, or make sure it's over 300k total.

If Universal chooses a new center, it just has to be Aki with how popular she is. This isn't me being a wishful thinker, but they're now sending her to do interviews and stuff. A lot of signs are pointing towards it.

I'm not really sure, since I usually don't follow single promos that closely, but I've read on 2ch, that this kind of promotion on local medias was never done since first couple of singles (Skip and Melon). it looks like Universal invested almost nothing in promotions before, except of usual appearances on music shows.
the other interesting theory I've read says that this change in promos could be somehow connected to that new manager who transferred from SKE, since it looks like SKE promotes more in their local area lately as well (I have no idea, if it's true or not).

BOYS AND MEN have handshake / 2 shot / high-touch events everyday, so they should definitely stay ahead of HKT. But since their number of members is limited, it's likely not enough to close the gap.
Also, HKT will ship 13-15th round HS sales (won't be much I'm sure) on Aug 5th.

 

I can't believe that shekarashika was like 100k more less than 2 years ago.

Make me sad to see such a landslide. Competition is fierce, and production is subpar. The 10th single was good quality, but there's always this feeling of deja vu.

 

as usual, Billboard (Soundscan) numbers differ greatly from Oricon.
it says that in the first 3 days this single sold 256,175 copies
