I really like Rikachan, and after seeing a certain photo of her at a HS event making a certain gesture (that involves a middle finger ), I couldn't help but laugh and like her more xD. Im very interested on what peoples opinions were on this as well as the back story as well. Can someone please give me a link somewhere to the discussion in this thread (if there ever was one).

【BUBKA September issue】NGT48 Nakai Rika x Homma Hinata Gravure & Interview "What did the honor student and the problem child get in the General Election? The future that they saw beyond the strong wind"

NGT48 showed a good progress in this year's General Election with a large amount of members ranking in. Homma Hinata ranked at 13th place, Nakai Rika at 23rd. Surging anxiety, conflict and the delight after the end of the tears.
At that time, what was going on in Niigata? While they were thinking about taking the next step, we talked to some of the girls.



The problem child and the honor student

- Please, tell us how is your relationship.

Nakai Hinata has much more sense of responsability than me, so she listen to my problems and I take her advice. I mean, I can count on her.

Homma I'm flattered to be praised by someone like Rikachan who basically cannot trust in human being. (laughs)

- New Japan Pro-Wrestling Seiji Sakaguchi does not trust in human being too. (laughs)

Nakai Hinata is smart, every time I ask her for advice, she gives me a solution as soon as possible.

Homma I admire Rikachan. She cares a lot about her fans and by her activities as an idol, she is a stimulating person.

- Because she got attention quickly, and also entered the AKB48's Selection.

Nakai I'm always concerned about it.

- Is it whether you got flamed again?

Nakai To put if briefly, that's it!

Homma Hahahahaha! "She got flamed again"

Nakai I'm a type of person that gets myself in flames, on the other hand Hinata is the type who lives cleverly. We are the opposite of each other, like a problem child and an honor student.

- Do the two of you share the same room in the hotel?

Homma We get together quite often.

Nakai The staff worries about it. They say "There must be no problems if Nakai is in the same room as Homma." (laughs) But I have behaved lately! "First calm down. Look around you and see what is right to do and what is wrong", manager Imamura told me.

- I have a feeling that it is about time for you to get flamed again.

Nakai I guess so. (laughs)

Homma Me too. That's Rikachan's style.

Nakai Yeah, Nakai Style.

Homma When Rikachan's mental state starts to break down, I ask her "Are you alright?", until then I leave her alone. Sometimes I get really worried "Are you alright? Are you alive?", because she gets very weakened.

Nakai I show no sign of life. (laughs)

Homma There are waves in the activities as a person too.

Nakai That's a good one! I'll use it from now on!

- Had you been like this before you were an idol?

Nakai No, this started after I became an idol. I cannot endure external stimulations. I tend to absorb everything I get, both happy or bad things.

Homma You are likely a vacuum cleaner.

- Like a Dy●on.

Nakai My suction power is amazing. (laughs)

- You need to have the capability to ignore them too.

Nakai I do not have it at all.

- "There is not the word 'ignore' in my dictionary."

Nakai Please use it as a headline.

- Okay. On the other hand, has Homma-san been helped by Nakai-san yet?

Homma Unlike Rikachan, I'm the type of person who accumulates my worries, and she is the one who I can throw them up to. It helps me a lot to have a safe haven like her.

- Tell me about when you were chosen as the center for the coupling song "Junjou Yoroshiku" of the debut single.

Homma That is right. I was glad that I was chosen as the center but my worries were bigger after all. Even after I had finished the filming of the music video, I could not talk to anyone and days continued when I could not organize my feelings. When I finally met Rikachan, she said "That's great! Congrats!" and all the worries that had accumulated in my heart melted quickly.

Nakai Hehehe. That is because I was also saved by her "That's great! Congrats!" before when I was chosen as the center of the main song and I was not certain if I could be happy with that or not. I thought Hinatan might be feeling the same way. She does not like to bother anyone around, that is why the first thing I did was to congratulate her.

Homma You were crying and I started to cry too!

Nakai Oh yeah, we cried. (laughs)

Homma Both of us were crying and everyone around didn't understand what was going on. It was that time in the NMB48 Theater in Osaka.

Nakai It was in the Business Trip Performance.

- And to think that there existed a "Dotonbori incident of tears"!

Usually I would say that you should simply read several last pages until you find this, but this comes as a credit to @Humbucker that such advice would have been an overwhelming reading/scrolling activity... and the said link he already provided.

It's weird to see someone else saying this - I perceive her as a 2D idol, I don't see the depth like Milky for example has. Thought that perception is just something I have, these photos are fun so I'm coming here, but not expecting really that much more.

"No oshihenning"[1] is an absolute command! This is Nakai Rika of NGT48, also known as "Princess Rika"!

The summer vacation is beginning around the world and I wonder if there are many people visiting their parents. Actually I was back to Toyama the other day. I returned home after a long time and indeed Toyama made me relax, as expected. I've always thought it had good food and fresh air and it was a great place to live, but this time I confirmed once again that its climate and wind are perfect to me. Above all, there's my family that remains the same and welcomes me kindly. I was able to feel gratitude for them better after I moved to Niigata. I'm writing so many cool things that it doesn't even look like me. (laughs)

I also noticed that the buildings and the cityscape changed a little bit and then I realized time had passed. It will be two years soon since I became an idol and I felt strange that it was visiting Toyama what made me realize all the time I spent in Niigata and Tokyo. In the past two years I could only think about myself, but from now on I decided to take care of my parents. That's why I want lots of jobs. I want to show my activities as an idol to my family and to everyone in Toyama that is supporting me. Thus parties related, I'm counting on you. (urgent)

Well, there's one thing that I was amazed when I returned home this time. My home was decorated with my posters, acrilic stands, calendars ... every possible goods. There was a lot of me and it was very weird .... This is a sign that I'm being loved. (laughs)


I returned home after a long time, I'm rested now.
I'll do my best in this year's summer concerts with full power!!

@fatrain I found it strange too. Perhaps there has been some disagreement with management, or she wanted to do it before her birthday ... We'll find it out within a couple of hours anyway.

@Arbios I have no idea how is she going to do it. There's that guy who often do 24/48 hour SR, in his case, he usually takes short naps while his staff keeps on streaming. If Rikachan is alone, there's a possibility to screw it up if she sleeps.

 

Of course she could keep on streaming while asleep. We can watch her sleeping, nothing wrong with that. It doesn't say she has to talk/up all the time. Or she can make recording and play it while she takes a break.
