She has points that is worthy to make us AKB fans/management to reconsider about the current AKB marketing system.

 

Where's the lie? I've always said, it's better for a random girl to audition for one of the sister groups than AKB.

Even if you are not chosen for the senbatsu, there's a high probability for you to appear on AKB single (B side). That and you are GUARANTEED to participate in your own group's single B side.

non senbatsu sister group members get more exposure than non senbatsu AKB members.

I never knew she existed but she's def on my radar now. Will be following her.

Well she just said exactly what I want for AKB48. I know AKB48 is rely on sister group to make CD sales boom but somehow I wish I can get back Team song (I know this not gonna happen due current number in every group) but it so sad to see some of them decided to grad even still in kenkyuusei status.
And one by one slowly make an exit while their name even not yet recognized so well..maybe just at her fan

I really does hope management can reconsider back AKB48 system.

When did she gain the new nickname?

 

Last year some time. She's insisted on it several times both in the theater and on Showroom.

 

But it was Megutan before right?

 

Not really. Somehow "Megutan" got listed on her official profile in the beginning (it's Omegu now), but she's nearly always preferred Omegu, Megu, or Meguchan, and started insisting on Omegu (or O~megu) last year. I've hardly ever heard or seen her referred to as Megutan.

In her G+, Megutan appears in 5 posts, three of them quoting other people (mainly her comments, but also an Anta Dare segment where she appeared as Beautiful Witch Megutan), and one listing all four of her nicknames. Meanwhile Meguchan appears over 20 times, and O~megu is how she's opened almost every post since late 2014.

 

I met her last year in Japan and I greeted her as 'Megutan' but I got little reaction from her. I met her again a few months ago, this time I called her 'Omegu' and I received her very lovely smile. So it seems it's indeed 'Omegu'!

 

Interesting, now if we still have Megutan beside the thread title that would be very outdated wouldn't it.

 

There is a famous young Japanese actress. She is Tao Tsuchiya who can dance and act very well. Her face looks like Omegu so much.

 

you want something crazy? check actor who play as Bruce Wayne in Gotham tv series..his face really resemble with Megu
