Was #12 on Showroom. Did not show her face, but was very popular anyway.
Expects to be a variety specialist in the group. She can sing and she can joke. Seems intelligent. Attractive relaxed personality.

Thanks for making all the 2gen threads, @EinhanderX

She's definitely my 2nd gen Hiragana Oshi. I've been watching over her since SHOWROOM and she looks so pretty and acts so natural. Natural idols are the best, ah. lol.

She's been great so far. Even if she does only become "just a variety member" I'm a big sucker for those girls so she'll have a fan in me at least.

^It depends on the general fandom interest toward variety member itself.
On one spectrum, Keya has Nagasawa Nanako. Known for her unpredictability. HS Sold out on first round.
Then we have Iguchi Mao, very similar in strangeness vibe. Second last in Keya HS race.

Though to be fair, the case of Mao is far more often happened than Naako in many other idol groups.

It's because most variety members aren't exactly.. popular with fans for some reason. Look at Iguchi Mao, hella funny but her handshake sales are a bit.. same goes for Fuuchan... a lot of the ex/AKB members who are known for variety alone usually don't really do well on elections (Chori, Murashige, Tani, Ogasawara, Nishino Miki, etc).

BUT if you're good at variety AND have something more to offer then that's another story (eg, Oshima Yuko and Sashihara Rino) those are kinda rare though..

i think she can achieve more than being just a variety member,
i mean, from my own perspective, she is a lot more attractive (visually) than most variety member i know at least

From my limited observation, the unpopular variety members are those who either aren't that attractive (to the fandom's taste) or seem too strong, not easily approachable. Paripi-chan isn't gloriously beautiful, but she is good-looking in an approachable way, and makes herself approachable, so I think she will be quite popular.

However, for a new member to talk about things in this way seemed a bit presumptuous to me, even though she was being modest. She's expressing opinions that are above the level of her expertise. And there's no point insulting variety members as "only" variety members. I hasten to add that I actually like Tomita-san quite a bit, myself.

One little note: when I see her surname, I think of Tomita Mayu, the college-age underground idol who was slashed by an obsessed fan last year. Not that there's any connection between the two except the name, but I feel a bit of satisfaction seeing that name succeeding in the idol world.

This is probably the first time I read a blog entry in which a member praise herself for something.
I undestand modesty and humility are parts of the japanese culture, but for once is good to read someone who don't apologize to everyone else or praise everyone else but herself.
And she is quite funny.... but I want listen the first part of her blog rapped out now.
And someday a duet with Jo (Nogizaka's Noujo Ami) would be great.
    Just for fun
