sorry let me clear that up, USD 2500 for around 2 weeks stay (plane and train ticket included) and another bucks for the HS tickets and to ship them (maybe around 100-200 depending on how much ticket I could get)

Yeah, the katakana pronunciation turns me off sometimes. It's probably still fine in Japan but when they go abroad, people who are not used to Japanese language would never be able to understand it. I wonder if they are actually taught English in katakana way in school? I understand that many borrowed words from English integrated to Japanese language using katakana. But when it's actually learning English as a language I thought they should try to pronounce it in the proper way.

I know what you mean but its easier said than done. Especially if its syllables you don't use during your formative/schooling years
Its like me trying to pronounce similar sounding Hiragana and I get these sort of reactions: or or or
At least the Japanese are polite enough to try to understand rather than the "SPEAK ENGLISH! GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM!" madness I find here

Good on her for trying and trying well though! I look forward to her having an international reach once she graduates and does her own thing!

 

The problem is that even many English teachers there are unable to pronounce English properly...

there's another version of this with we are and yes i am from the same band, it's really good and the editor putting nogizaka video when listening to each lyrics really makes me go uuuuuuuuu www (the one with we are is my favorite)
