The Girls will be divided into 5 teams and travel around the Setouchi 7 prefectures to promote their single Kurayami on it's release day. They'll appear on TV, radio, etc. They opened different Showroom sites to follow their work and show backstage stuff etc.

I don't now if you guys are aware but we are now witnessing STU is currently organizing some massive debut single campaign. It's so legit that they actually are pulling this to a national promotion level. I mean the sheer size of this organized public appeal level is pretty insane. They made it hot topics now in matome and probably anytime soon on the front page of every newspapers, and news station by tomorrow. Basically almost the whole of Japan is being shoved with STU into their face lol After tomorrow I think half of the countries population heard of them and their song.

Right now North from Hokkaido, South to Fukuoka and almost every major cities in between. They are using the transportations (ads in major metro lines + bus stations, and a patrolling ad truck around the streets), SNS non stop spamming, guest in bunch of radio programs, couple of music tv shows, multiple magazine release, almost all famous CD shop branches have built a fancy STU corner, major shopping malls playing the CM repeatedly, Lawson collaboration campagin (Chukoku and Shikoku region, local focus), extended a bonus resale HS round and even scheduled special live streams on Showroom now!

I mean holy crap how do I even follow 5 showrooms in the same time LOL Did they use the whole boat budget on this LOL?

I'm just in awe right now how prepared they are for tomorrow's debut single day. My mind is blown away. I think the delay of the single was a great desicion, now seeing the management to pull a promo campagin at this scale. And I only thought they were just gunna focus on the Setouchi region.

Now what matters is if all this, all of this can translate to a successful sales result...tomorrow is the moment of truth boys and girls. Will they become a hit or just another miss...let's pray for the best.

 

I have a really low expectations regarding this single sales tbh but the next one could do really well if they keep up this level promotion.
But srsly the STU mgmt have been freaking amazing so far(it's been forever since I last saw such a good mgmt in the 48 group lol).

100K is minimal pass for me. 150K is great success. 200K will be over the top success.

I don't know how I feel about that but today was the perfect day for STU girls.

 

I guess they were counting on the fans to pass 100k (with all the types they have lol), and that the PR just started today to get some more people into them to have some longevity in the charts/sales ...

 

For those who don't speak Japanese, the update basically said there are no news, but they are discussing the on-ship theater with the people involved. Asked the fans to wait some more.

 

The updates feel so unnecessary tbh
I recall when they started the blog, at the end of 2017, they were like: "We're discussing things like sea streets/rules whatever" (where they can dock and when etc.) and I just thought; "NOW!?" lol Their preparations for the thatre is a disaster lol

Well, at least we got a super big PR running right now, and A LOT of TV shows, so ...

Would love to see them perform more often though ...

 

I guess this update was more just to reassure people the ship was still a work in progress and they had not forgotten about it or scrapped the idea.

 

It's interesting to do a small comparison with NGT which didn't release the first single for a long time but had a theater up and running, and STU which won't be having a theater for a long time but released her single with less time difference.
Management is being more ambitious with SG these days, but it seems to pay off in terms of public recognition.

 

They should hold performances everywhere till they able to get their theatre. They should be able do mini lives at local events. With 7 prefectures, and they have members in every prefecture, there should be an event every other week. Putting in a lot of money in to promotion for a single is one way. Brand recognition by being seen as easily accessible to and recognised by the locals (non fans general public), is even better, be a household name or topic. Different local teams available to do performances, and the organisers of the local events will most probably pay for something that will draw in crowds. STU48 has the advantage over NGT48 is in the population size in the area STU48 is envisioned to represent. Economically and tourist dollars, Setouchi is better than most prefectures in the northern tohoku region.

In short, Be seen, to be remembered.
