How that was decided? No one knows except the management mate I believe not even the members know.

 

it'd be interesting to know though who decided for that massive push (and pretty much putting the future of the group in her hands) even after the SSK flop

 

actually, I am also curious about that. Her luck should be top notch, even though her hand lines say otherwise.
It is not like the initial AKBingo push was working great. But all of the factors just click together. Similar with Yuiyui.

Well for a captain role, usually they would pick someone who is familiar with the backstage preproduction process and someone who can get along well with the rest of the girls (leadership skills). Mostly someone who is older (above 20) is chosen to lead, especially if it's Team A is concerned, as well as someone who can (probably) sing and dance well too.

So I am guessing that Berin fits all these categories.
