I've been watching Koe Koi (Voice Love) drama lately and a girl resembling Kawaei Rina shows up eventually. I looked up the cast again and yup, its actually Ricchan. Glad to see her in a drama by chance. It's a cute high school drama with some very promising young actresses, (Nagano Mei, Karen Otomo, Rina, Karata Erika). Highly recommended if you're interested in light hearted drama.

Great to see former AKB and current Nogi members flourishing in the acting industry. Saw Akimoto Sayaka, Nishino Nanase(Nogi), Matsui Rena, Yoda Yuki(Nogi), Ricchan in some recent shows.

 

I don't know why but I find Ricchan's aura pretty similar to Hirose Suzu. Both talented in acting, and both really cute.
I hope she gets a leading role sometime soon, she would rock it.

 

Just saw a couple episodes of Gakkou no Kaidan starring Hirose Suzu. The first episode really showcases her acting talent, the crying and emotions on her face when delivering her speech is impressive. However, the elitist plot is turning me off. It's too fictitious and overly dramatic, don't know if there is a ridiculously elitist school like that in Japan.

I flew to Japan last week with Qatar Airways. They are showing Ajin: Demi-Human under Asian movies section. Nice exposure of her acting talents for casual watchers I guess.
I saw it first time. I'd say it was solid action flic with good twisty story and great CGI. Her acting was competent as well.

Unrelated fact: Then I decided to watch another Japanese movie called Let Me Eat Your Pancreas. Oh boy It was kind of embracing to do it on the plane. Then again they strongly recommend you moisturize since airplane air is very dry. lol

I watched Ajin today. Nice movie. It was good that she was able to star win a movie with those 2 male leads. She's tiny in the movie, like when she's walking around with her boss. LOL. It was also good to see her play a non-shojou manga type role. Ricchan's got 4 movies coming out this year.

OT: I have also watched Kimi no Suizo wo Tabetai and really liked it. Unlike you, I watched it in the privacy of my own home so, yeah, no embarrassment for me. Did you notice that Minami Hamabe starred in both?

Kawaei has new role in the summer drama Kenko de Bunkatekina Saiteigendo no Seikatsu. Seems she will be a fellow social worker on the team.
