Finally watched Mayuyu live for 2 hours
She did great at Amelie and I should say...her oshiri is objectively "wide" compared to her body size. Even from 3rd floor to the stage and the costume did not emphasize on it, it still look prominent.

I said it before and I will say it again: Mayuyu never had a problem with animals. She has never been afraid of dogs. As far as I know, unlike Yukirin who genuinely appears to be afraid of everything, Mayuyu is not fearful of domesticated animals and that ''whole scared of dogs thing'' was purely done as a skit for variety sake. Somewhere out there there is a beach video of the making of Labrador Retriever that shows a VERY YOUNG Watanabe Mayu frolicking in the sand with all breeds of dogs. That skit was done all in fun, like Sakura's fake bizarre running style. I remember an outdoor interview of Mayuyu where she freaked out when a flying bug of some sort got up in her face and she appeared genuinely upset and scared but that is a phobia she shares with most of the members.

My personal opinion only, of course. Asking her would be the only way to find out definitively.

 

Watch it again for me and I will take your word for it if you see her demeanor as appearing apprehensive around any of the dogs. Much appreciated. I have to admit that I haven't seen ''the making of'' in a few years, but if you are correct I will be EXTREMELY disappointed in my memory. That video is one of those great ''AKB at the beach'' videos that is seared in my memory.

 

Thank you. I went on Daily Motion and found both parts 1 and 2 of ''the making of Labrador retriever'' and you are absolutely correct. Between minute 3 and 4:30, of part 1, Mayuyu is spooked by any and all canines on the set----big and small. Wow. I stand corrected and I apologize for so adamantly posting an invalid and blatantly incorrect comment. Funny that I ''mis-remembered'' that video so badly. Getting old is such a pain. Thanks again for setting me straight and reminding how stunning the girls looked in their beach video days.
