I wish I could justify flying to CA to meet them. Note for those going, Sally recently confirmed they are under a dating ban. It seems that Sakura/Sally's YouTube now supports community subtitles, so there are English (and other) subs for her Japanese videos. Also Negiko continues subtitling their other content here, such as Ruri's interview and the third episode of their anime diaries
Mizuha wrote a blog in English to teach us Kansai-ben I_try_writing_English_blog She says Sally is teaching her English... which I find both encouraging and worrying. Plus Kanae got an Instagram @__shiro227 And Moe is now on Twitter @moepiyo_227
As promised by getting 30,000 followers on Twitter. Sally did a short cover of the Produce48 theme song, "Pick Me." https://twitter.com/sally_amaki/status/1012265420970024962
22/7 will be having a mini-live and high five event in Diver City, Odaiba on July 22 to promote the upcoming 3rd single. Moreover, groups of members will be doing small improv and high five events at various locations in Tokyo throughout July and August. It’s free to attend these events but if you wish to get in the “priority seating” area and do the high five event, you’ll have to preorder the third single on location at each event. For more information and details on which members are doing which events, check out the post on their website. http://www.nanabunnonijyuuni.com/sp/news/archive/?496471
From the Anime Expo in Los Angeles, 2018/7/7. All four showed up: Sakura, Mei, Reina, and Sally. I will write something in the AKB48 experiences thread tomorrow when I can get everything together.
She looks so happy to be there! I'm happy for her haha Btw, was the Sakura segment live or prerecorded?
Live, as far as I could tell. She called out at least one person in the audience. P.S. My experiences post is now up in the AKB48 experiences thread.
I was able to catch four of the six appearances 22/7 made at Anime Expo, missing only the first because I wasn't there early enough (wouldn't make that mistake again) and the last because I had to leave to attend the concert Team 8 was appearing at. It was a lot of fun and clearly a lot of people were there for Sally but Meimei and Reina made a big impression. They were so very small and cute. They stood on point, reciting what little english they had memorized in advance and always promoting the group and their singles. By contrast Sally was goofin' off and loving every minute of it. She never stopped posing for the crowd, making sure everyone had a chance to see her. I took a ton of photos and video but this was the best:
So there was a live event at Diver City, Tokyo yesterday. A few things that happened: Hokaze Chiharu was announced as the "leader" of 22/7 (had a feeling this was coming) They announced more details of their next single release (8/22) including the covers (types A & B) and the title song (region locked, unfortunately) Sally got heat stroke during the performance and missed the high-touch event at the end, but she's ok now (after misbehaving in the hospital) In unrelated Sally news, she continues to post strange ad-blogs as Sakura: if the video does not show watch the video here Also she continues to terrorize her workplace, and is trying to corrupt Mizzy under the disapproving watch of Chiharu.
I will say the animation/motion capture quality in the new music video is leaps and bounds better than the 2nd single's music video. It looks closer to hand-drawn animation than the previous videos where it clearly looked CG.
I was there at the live lol, they were really great live, making the song 10 times better. Saw quite a few foreign fans too. They also announced an event in September 20th at Akasaka Blitz http://www.nanabunnonijyuuni.com/sp/news/archive/?497173 They have early lottery for mail magazine members until July 29th (I have registered as mail magazine member but i dont know how to join the lottery for this event lol, if somebody could explain it here that would be great ) The ticket sales for general public start from August 18th if I read it correctly.
If you were registered before today, there should be a link in one of newsletter emails from yesterday that takes you to the application form. I believe you need a Japanese phone number and address to apply however.
I haven't decided yet. It's on a Thursday, so it'll be kinda tough for me to get out of work early to make it to the event.

Thanks for posting! I was hoping the interview would be available somewhere after Sally had posted about it on her Twitter.
