撮影中笑いっぱなし！加藤美南センター曲のMV撮影裏話に迫る


――共に歌いひとつになろうという前向きなメッセージを届けてくれる「世界の人へ」、ロシア・ウラジオストクにて撮影されたMVは、みなさんの凛として華やかなパフォーマンスが映えているなと。

山口　
実は、撮影当日に雨が降っていたんですね。

加藤
そうそう。よく見ると結構降っていて、前髪が束になっていたりとか。

荻野　
足下も水溜まりになっていたりしてね。

山口　
でも、ウラジオストクの街並みがすごくオシャレだったし……。

加藤　
確かに。色使いとかね。

荻野　
うん。くすみ系の色がたくさんあったから綺麗だったし、素敵な街並みを背に雨すら味方につけて、みんなで力を合わせたパフォーマンスができたと思います。

山口　
日本では、なかなか撮れない映像になったんじゃないかなって。

――何しろ印象強いMVですが、「世界の人へ」を歌うときにはどんな想いで歌っているのでしょう。

荻野　
（北原）里英さんが卒業されて、後輩も出てきて、NGT48にとっては今がとても大事な時期だと思っているので……私は、NGT48のグループのことを想って歌っていました。

――グループとしての結束感、団結力は、ますます高まっていますか。

加藤　
そうですね。里英さんが卒業されてからは、やっぱり1期生がしっかりしなきゃという意識が高まったし……。

荻野　
チームGもできてね。それぞれのチームでも頑張りつつ、NGT48として全員が集まったときにはひとつになって団結できるチームになりたいな、って。

山口　
うんうん。「世界の人へ」は、みんなで歌っていて高まる曲です。そして、スケールの大きなメッセージは、ストレートな分、どの国の言語に翻訳しても、きっと真っ直ぐに伝わるんじゃないかなって思います。

加藤　
そうだね。あと、個人的にはつい忘れてしまいがちな日々の小さな幸せをちゃんと大切にしようって、改めて思えた曲でもあります。だから、歌っていてすごく明るい気持ちになれるし、歌うほどにどんどん好きになっていっています。

荻野　
わかる。本当に、素敵な曲に出会えたよね。

――聴く側も、大きな力をもらえる曲です。それから、今回のシングルには加藤さんセンター曲「心に太陽を」が収録されていますが……。

加藤　
自分がセンターになったら、かわいい系ではなくてもカッコいい系のダンスナンバーがくるかと思っていたから、びっくりしました（笑）。

――MVではかわいらしい加藤さんがあまりにも振り切っていて、こちらもびっくりしました（笑）。

加藤　
現場に入った瞬間からムチャブリされていましたもん（笑）。

荻野　
かとみな（加藤）が“ポンコツキャプテン”っていう設定だったからね（笑）。MV撮影って長丁場で大変だったりもするのに、あの日はずーっと笑っていました。

――実際は、ポンコツじゃないんですよね？

荻野　
いやぁ……オーバーではありますけど、今のチームNIIIってわりとああいう感じかも（笑）。

加藤　
うん（笑）。ちょっと抜けている私を、みんなが支えようとしてくれていて。

荻野　
そうそう。かとみながキャプテンだからこそ、チームがひとつになれているような気がする。

山口　
美南は前しか見えない猪突猛進型だけど、天真爛漫なところもあって明るいから、周りもみんな笑顔になるしね。

――曲名のごとく、美南さんは太陽のような存在なのですね。

荻野　
本当に。歌っていて、美南のことだ！って思いましたから。

加藤　
ちょっと、嬉しいじゃん（笑）。

山口　
ショートバージョンのMVではまだ見られない2番では……。

荻野　
かとみなの振り付けがまた、おもしろくて。

山口　
観ていて、すごく楽しいよね。

加藤　
自分自身、ポジティブなパワーをもらえる曲です。

荻野　
すごくいいバランスだよね。表題曲とは違うベクトルの前向きな曲で、チームGの曲（「カーテンの柄」）とはまたガラっと違った雰囲気で。

間違いなく美魔女!? 3人が想像する10年後のそれぞれの姿！


――そう、山口さんが参加している「カーテンの柄」は、とても切なくて哀しい曲で。

山口　
ホント、暗いというか（笑）。

荻野　
でもほら、人間っていろんな顔を持っているから……。

加藤　
そうそう、明るい曲ばっかりじゃね。どっちもあるからいいんだよ！

――歌うときには、どう気持ちを重ねたのでしょうか。

荻野＆加藤　
それ気になる！

山口　
最初は無で歌っているけど、歌詞が自分の中に入ってくるとどんどん気持ちが沈んでいって（苦笑）。でも、落ち込んでいて明るい曲がしんどい時、そっと寄り添える曲だと思います。ちなみにMVは、感情のすれ違いをテーマに、10年後に出会ったときに声をかけたいのにかけられないっていう葛藤を、メンバーみんなで表現しました。

――この3人は、10年後にどうなっていますかね。

加藤　
真帆は間違いなく美魔女（笑）。

荻野　
わかる（笑）。それか、コスメ開発者とかになっているかも。

加藤　
アドバイザーとかになって、講演会とかやっているかもね（笑）。荻野は……。

山口
釣り名人じゃない？（笑）。

荻野　
確かにザリガニは好きだけどさぁ（笑）。

加藤　
どうだろうね、荻野は一番謎。

山口　
でも、バラエティ番組で活躍していそうな気もする。

荻野　
美南は、海外に羽ばたいていそうじゃない？

山口　
自由を求めてね。

加藤　
いいね。行きたい行きたい。視野を広げたいし。

――それぞれにどんな道を歩むにしても、気持ちはすれ違っていないといいですよね。

山口　
本当に。みんな、よろしくね。

荻野　
離れていても、ちゃんと連絡するから！

加藤　
私も。みんな、スルーしないでよ（笑）。

３日にリリースされるＮＧＴ４８の４ｔｈシングル「世界の人へ」の選抜メンバー、加藤美南（１８）と、カップリング曲「泣きべそかくまで」でセンターを務める清司麗菜（１７）の対談。後編となる今回はこれからのＮＧＴ４８についてなど、“第２章”に突入したグループの今後について話を聞いた。チームＮＩＩＩのキャプテンとＮＧＴ４８きっての“逸材”。２人が描く将来とは？（ｚａｋｚａｋ編集部）

＜２期生の加入や新チームの発足などで、ＮＧＴ４８が第２章を迎えました。新体制になり、新たな目標は生まれましたか？＞

加藤
「今まではグループでの活動が多かったんですが、第２章では、メンバー個々の長所や特技を仕事につなげていけるようにしたいです。おぎゆか（荻野由佳）や中井りかがバラエティーとかでグループを宣伝しているのをかっこいいなと思って見ているので、今後はほかのメンバーもそれをできたらと」

＜加藤さんだったら、どんなふうにアピールしていきますか？＞

加藤
「私はバトンです。小３から始めて全国大会にも出たことがあるので、バトン絡みでなにかにチャレンジする企画とかやってみたいですね。あと最近、２０２０年のオリンピックの開会式でバトンを披露しようという動きがあると聞いたんですよ。もしそれが実現したら、ほんのちょっとでいいから出てみたいです」

清司
「私も自分をＰＲしたいんですが、『これが得意』と言い切れるものがないのが、昔から悩みで…」

加藤「えー、あるよ！歌もダンスも本当にうまいじゃん。この人、『逸材』って言われてるの知ってますか？」

清司
「違う違う、あれは自分で言ったの（笑）」

加藤
「自称でもあるけど、北原（里英）さんも卒業のときに言ってたんですよ。『この先、清司の時代がやってくる』って。あと、れいにゃーのすごいのは、初期から見て１番かわいくなったこと。最初のころ、ごま団子みたいだったもん（笑）」

清司
「それもきたりえ（北原）さんに言われました。『清司が１番変わった。顔がまるで違う』って。自分で言うのもなんですけど、ＮＧＴ４８に入ってから、本当にかわいくなったんです（笑）」

＜どうしてそんなに変わったんですかね！？＞

加藤
「人前に出ることで磨かれたのと、初期のころより性格が丸くなったから、それが顔に出たんじゃないかな。入ったばかりのころって、性格がちょっとトゲトゲしてたよね」

清司
「人見知りで負けず嫌いなので、前はそれが前面に出ちゃってたのかもしれないです」

加藤
「でも今は、すごく丸くなってユーモアがある感じ。一緒にレギュラー番組をやってるロッチさんとも相性がよくて、芸人さんのノリにもちゃんとついていけるんですよ。歌ってよし、踊ってよし、バラエティーにも対応できるかわいいメンバーって、本当に逸材じゃないですか？」

＜その通りだと思いますし、加藤さんの解説もすごいです。メンバーのことをよく理解してますね＞

清司
「かとみなはチームの新キャプテンで、すごく頼りになる存在なんですよ。だからといって、みんなに自分の考えをおしつけたりしないから、すごくやりやすくて助かります」

加藤
「自分１人で仕切る力量がないですし、みんなで作っていく雰囲気が好きなんです。なので、メンバーに助けてもらいつつ意見を聞きながら、良いグループにしていきたいなって思ってます」

＜姉妹グループの中で、改めてＮＧＴ４８のいいところはどこだと思いますか？＞

清司
「ひとりひとりの個性が強いところ。普段はガチャガチャしているんですが、団結力も強いので、なにかあるとギュッとまとまるんですよ。でも集中しすぎて周りが見えなくなることがあって、それが良いところでもあり、悪いところでもあり（笑）」

加藤
「ＮＧＴ４８ができたてのころに４８グループの大運動会があったんですが、そこでＮＧＴ４８が優勝しちゃったんだよね。勝負事になると、先輩後輩とか忘れて、なりふり構わず熱くなっちゃう。グループの先輩の柏木（由紀）さんと北原さんがすごく優しくてのびのびさせてもらっていたので、物おじせず怖いもの知らずでやってきている部分はありますね」

清司
「ほんと、全員が末っ子みたいな感じ。でもそれがグループの勢いにつながっていたりするので、このまま突っ走りたいと思ってます」

＜ファンの方々も、そういう天真爛漫（らんまん）なところが好きなんでしょうね＞

加藤
「ファンの皆さん存在は、本当にありがたいです。ＮＧＴ４８のファンは優しくて、皆さんとにかく熱い。ライブがあると本当にたくさん集まってくれますし、総選挙やリクエストアワーも全力で応援して、ＮＧＴ４８を盛り上げてくれるんです。そんな熱意に応えられるように、私たちも精いっぱいがんばっていきたいです！」（おわり）

The music video for "Sekai no Hito e", which was shot in Vladivstok in Russia, will deliver the beautiful message of singing together and shows a gorgeous performance.

Yamaguchi
Actually, it was raining on the day of the shooting.

Kato
Yes, yes. If you look closely, you can see the bangs got messed up.

Ogino
Even my feet got very wet.

Yamaguchi
But the cityscape of Vladivstok was very beautiful...

Kato
Surely. Isn't it colourful?

Ogino
Yup. It was so beautiful that there were so many pastel colours, so I just thought we'd be able to do am amazing performance despite the rain with such a beautiful city in the background.

Yamaguchi
It seems to me that in Japan you wouldn't be able to find such a nice scenery.

-That is a strong impression of the video, but with what kind of feelings do you perform "Sekai no Hito e"?

Ogino
When (Kitahara) Rie-san graduated, I think that was a very special time for all of NGT48... So when I sing, I think about the importance of NGT48.

-Is the sense of unity within the group increasing more and more?

Kato
I agree. Since Rie-san graduated, a lot of us from the first generation felt that we had to do better.

Ogino
And now we have Team G. While trying hard on each team separately, we're also working hard to be NGT together and we want to become a group that is united.

Yamaguchi
Yes, yes. "Sekai no Hito e" is a song that becomes better the more people sing along. And I think the message is pretty straight-forward and can reach people all over the world, no matter what language they speak.

Kato
That's true. Furthermore, another thing about this song, I often forget to value the small things in life and this song makes me remember to be happy. So when I sing it, I become more and more energetic.

Ogino
I know. Honestly, it's a powerful song.

-The listener also gets great power. And Kato-san, you are the center for the song "Kokoro ni Taiyou" (The Sun in the Heart).

Kato
When I was told I was the center, I thought I'd hopefully at least look cool even if I'm not cute, so I was surprised (laughs).

-Kato-san did really well and is surprisingly pretty (laughs).

Kato
From the moment I entered the site where we did the shooting, everything felt like a Muchaburi* (laughs)

Ogino
In the video, everyone thinks of Katomin as the "Ponkotsu** Captain" (laughs). Even though the shooting was difficult, it was a day full of laughter.

--Is she also ponkotsu in real life?

Ogino
Well... even though the video is over, the current Team NIII seems that way (laughs).

Kato
Yeah, lol, everyone seems to be trying to help me with stuff that I'm still lacking.

Ogino
That's true, I think it makes the team come together closer.

Yamaguchi
Minami is the type of person who you only notice when she's in the front. But even when she's in the background, she smiles a lot and tries to cheer everyone up.

-So like in the name of the song, Minami-san is the sun, isn't she?

Ogino
True! When I was singing it, I thought, "This is about Minami!"

Kato
Wait a minute, I'm becoming very happy (laughs).

Yamaguchi
There is also a bit that you haven't seen yet in the short version of the video...

Ogino
The choreography was also very funny.

Yamaguchi
It was fun to do and it's fun to watch.

Kato
It is a song that I can draw positive power from.

Ogino
It has a nice balance to it. It is a very positive song but it's still different from the title song and the Team G song, "Curtain no Gara" (The curtain's pattern).

-Yes, Yamaguchi-san participates in the song "Curtain no Gara" and it seems very sad and painful.

Yamaguchi
Yes, it is quite dark (laughs).

Ogino
But you see, human beings have various faces...

Kato
Oh yeah, among all those bright songs I don't mind having a gloomy one.

-How did you feel when singing it?

Kato & Ogino
Worrisome!

Yamaguchi
In the beginning, I sang without thinking anything about it, but as you keep going, the feelings slowly creep up on you (bitter smile). However, I think it is a snuggly song when you're depressed and can be a bright song in painful times. Incidentally, the MV expressed conflicts between members meeting in ten years' time. All members felt like time is passing too quickly.

-What will become of you three in ten years?

Kato
Maho will definitely be some type of witch (laughs).

Ogino
I agree (laughs). Or maybe, she will be a cosmetic developer.

Kato
You may be giving lectures or advice to people, I don't know... Ogino will...

Yamaguchi
You're a master at fishing, right (laughs)?

Ogino
Certainly, I like Crayfish a lot (laughs).

Kato
How about this, Ogino is the one with the most mystery about her future (laughs).

Yamaguchi
I feel like she will be very active in variety programs, too, though.

Ogino
As for Minami, I think she will be flirting abroad.

Yamaguchi
Looking for freedom.

Kato
That sounds nice. I would like to go and broaden my horizon.

*Muchaburi = to force someone to do or say something, usually stuff that's embarrassing. i'm sure you all know the akbingo segment muchaburi dodgeball
**Ponkotsu = usually means useless or unreliable; one of Shimazaki Haruka's nicknames was also ponkotsu because she was a 'useless' idol (not doing a lot of fan service, short speeches). EDIT: @sscrla let me know she was called this not because of fan service, but she screwed up introductions on stage in the beginning. My bad and thanks

I've decided to go back and translate her Social Media Posts again, I guess it was because I hated not having it sound right or anything (I'm a perfectionist and with how I am with stuff, I want it to be perfect) but it's something that I am far from. So I guess you can say that's why I stopped. But honestly, after seeing @sscrla just using Google Translate for Translations, I've decided to go back to it.

I mean I know you guys didn't care about how the Translations were, I just was getting annoyed with myself for not having them look right. But now, I want to go back them. Also as I've always said, I WILL learn Japanese (I mean I do wanna move there one day).

So Anyways, will be translating her Social Media Stuff (Also will make sure I go back to doing this daily that way I can also translate her Twitter since that girl tweets ALOT lol).
