@ukifune i doubt those two elders are her parents, many said that but the uncle is one of the three in "senbu boku no sei da" and the auntie is in another situation with another member

Love the way this mv is created, it make fans wonder a lot, kinda interesting, like we all think Fuu is a "gangster" but in fact; her character is just in a fight with her boyfriend. We can view this mv in any ways depend on how we think. Maybe the thing i see as a meaningful symbol is just a "mistake" while shooting.

I'm going to go back and mention the story I found on Baidu: the higanbana is a kindly demon who hangs around the gate to hell, helping and comforting people who are passing. So when they all get to the top of the stairs -- maybe actually reaching hell -- the higanbana cannot follow, but stays on the near side of the line. Or maybe Techi is in fact the suicide, but in the gateway to hell all she sees are people who need her help.

I'm not sure of any interpretation yet, but the idea that all she sees are incidents in her own life seems unlikely to me. Looking out at the site of the suicide in the beginning, is she seeing her own demise or watching out for a new entrant? In any case, the protagonist tries to help people, is sometimes accepted and sometimes rejected (even by the same person) and ends up in despair.

In the CM, Hirate does a voice-over of one line: "The world around me is overflowing with despair." (僕の周りの世界には絶望が溢れている).

I wonder if Monta and Naako on the stairway with dolls hung up behind them may have had abortions. There is a woman with a baby behind them. In Japan, there are lots of little statues of the bodhisattva Jizou, made to commemorate dead children, including miscarriages and abortions.

I'm not saying this is true, but the first thought I had when I saw the Techi-like child with the flower for her was that the child was some kind of underworld spirit. I also am not sure about the two older people being her parents. They do throw her around quite a bit, especially the man. In any case, I don't think we can be sure that the whole story makes logical sense, as opposed to purely emotional sense. Here's the CM:

Shiichan and Akanen got asked in Yuugata today about what Hirate said on the roof and both of them doesn't know. It appears that it was an ad lib from Hirate

As for what Hirate said just before entering the rooftop, there's a limited lip-reading consensus that she may have said: "Boku dake de ii." ("Let it just be me alone.") I think the idea is that only she should suffer, not all these people suffering around her. It certainly goes with what she says in the TV ad: "The world around me is overflowing with suffering."

I think it translates more to "I'm fine by myself"

Boku dake de ii (僕だけでいい) translates into "let it be just me", so @ukifune is correct. Though I am only 80% sure the lip-reading is correct [hehe]

So while I expected this page to explode to a million pages, I will accept that everybody is off contemplating life, too depressed from the MV to post.

This is MV is... I had to go take a walk after it. It wasn't too much or too little. It wasn't obvious and not too contemporary that nobody gets it. There's enough mystery. This is how you do a GOOD MV.

    Techi butt-bounce @ 4:50 :^O^::^O^::^O^:

How are people disliking this? xD Guys, really?

A lot of great things have been said, there is not much to add :D. We are patiently waiting for Hiragana MV, the other Kanji song AND the MV before the release date.

The feedbacks are very good, not only here but on the net too. We have to wait for the rest of the single but I wouldn't be surprised if Keyaki broke their 1st day and 1st week sales record.
They released Black Sheep song and MV sooner than usual, Idk why, there is lots of time left before the 27th, I hope it was not a mistake.

I'm a bit late (it's been a hectic week) but I'll add that the MV is really beautiful and one of the best I've ever seen.

It's because of the max power Techi butt-bounce. It's too stronk for the -G rating that Youtube enforces.

Ok, to the same people disliking this because "butts", really?

Unknown, but best answer so far is that it's due to images around suicide (opening image of outline of body; Koike in bath grasping wrist). Not directly against YouTube regs, but apparently Japanese companies have custom of being more cautious. (Of course, they may now release the MV on YouTube on Friday at noon, exactly a week after releasing it on HP, lol.)

EDIT: I'm still hoping to see it on YouTube, but here is a graphic that suggests they may not bother. The red line is searches for the words "kuroi hitsuji" (in Japanese) on Google; the blue line is the figures for "ambivalent." There were twice as many searches for "kuroi hitsuji" when that MV came out as there were for "ambivalent" when that MV came out.
