Sure we could see more of Sasshi in this Heavy Rotation performance than only 2.5 secs in the PV. [hehe]

it was... very experimental :^^;: "a new style live" just as description said [hehe]
I liked how she put the mic in the drawer at the end, it gives opportunity to use it in the future. like, for example, HKT's stage, that Sasshi will write, will start with one of the members finding some old mic in a drawer and after that becoming a super idol, because this mic was a legendary artifact Sasshi's mic [hehe]
Sasshi announced that she'll have another solo event on 6/23!

Article about the letter from her handshake guardian.

On April 28 (Tuesday) Rino Sashihara, who graduated from HKT48, held the "Thank you 11 years of Rino Sashihara"! Great Thanksgiving Festival at Marine Messe Fukuoka. At the end of the concert, there was also a scene in which Sashihara was crying for a letter from "a stranger."

The main character of the letter read by member Matsuoka Natsumi was Mr. Shimada from OJS48 who has been in charge of guarding the lane of Sashihara at a handshake event for many years.

The Japan Times has today published a lengthy English-language article about Sasshi's graduation:

To be honest .. that's almost as bland and uninformed as any other foreign article about AKB48 or idol culture written with an obvious westerner (american?) bias.
"She also fronted AKB’s most popular single ever, the easy-breezy “Koi Suru Fortune Cookie,” and was the center for many of the group’s best-selling tracks."
Well, the writer sure did his research .... the reality is that the number of centers by Sasshii is surprisingly limited compared to her success in the sousyenko.
And that's mostly because that's not Sasshii's forte, Sasshii isn't the pretty, perfect idol like Mayuyu or Sakura, Sasshii isn't the singer like Yamoto Sayaka, not the a perfect dancer like (for sure someone will have a name)
Sasshii excels as a variety entertainer, put her in a talk show and it's pretty much a given it will be entertaining, because she's outspoken and quickwitted.

And that's the reason why she'll have a career after AKB48 imho
(just like I think Miichan will have a career in the same field after AKB)

A month or two back in the 'Stage48 Countdown' thread, Forrest had two polls in consecutive weeks, one for 'Best MC/Host Members' and the other for 'Most Charismatic Member', and Sasshi easily won the first one. However although she didn't win the second I did vote for her as my #1 and the reason why I voted for her is quite simple - I've had the great fortune to be able to meet a number of 48 Group members at events in Japan over the past few years and of all of them Sasshi clearly stands out in my memory as being the most charismatic. Not only that but it was her who first pulled me into 48G fandom because I found her to be so entertaining and interesting.
(although I have to confess that Mayuyu then became my kami-oshi...)

I'm looking forward to how the mic will return. lol

It really doesn't feel like she has graduated... Apart from the usual TV appearances, she's still showing up at events... gladly! [hehe]

Sasshi ranked 1st in the Nikkei Entertainment Idol Power Ranking this year too for the 4th time in a row! :1st::banana:
her score dropped a bit from 28.8 to 28.2, but oh well, next year she'll "compete" in the talento category where she probably won't rank at all - the scores are pretty high there.

for sure off-topic, but Miichan ranking 8th, pleasantly surprised :)

btw, could you explain what's on the x an y axis of the graph?
ok, nevermind, google search gave me this

    Vertical axis (Y-axis) - Interest
    Horizontal axis (X-axis) - Familiarity/Recognition

    Circles
    Green - Next Break Zone
    Orange - Attention Zone
    Blue - Current Leader Zone
Purple - Well-Known but Lacking Interest Zone

    btw
    Yukirin 7th
    Yuihan 9th
    Jurina 13th
    Sakura 16th
    Annin 17th
    Akarin 18th

Sayaka graduated last year, like what @fatrain said, you then moved to the タレント (tarento) category.
Mayo? I you meant Mayuyu, same thing, so yeah, according to this they aren't アイドル anymore.

but someone tweeted this and other ranking tables, which includes some familiar ex- and current idols:

Woah, it took 7 years for Sasshi to overcome Aachan in popularity contest after Aachan graduated :shocku: and Sasshi yet to reach Aachan's peak at 90 %, Aachan strong af :worthy:

I'm not sure if you can compare rankings between years, as in previous years there may have been a smaller number of idols (i.e. it was easier to get recognised) or the propularity of certain idol groups may have been greater (which would have a knock on effect on the ranking of individual members)

yep, you can't really compare member popularity when AKB was at its highest and now when it's at its lowest
