Cuca played drums in the unit Aoi Himawari (alongside Takino Yumiko (sax), Hyodo Aoi (bass), Imamura Mitsuki (guitar), and Fukuda Akari (keyboard)) at TIF 2019.
I didn't know she played the drums, has she ever mentioned it before?

I don't think so. That unit was first shown at their 2nd year anniversary concert held in March this year. At that time, fans and the members were pretty surprised. On Showroom the day after, she said that she had wanted to try and learn the drums before joining STU but got too busy when she actually became a member of the group. She practiced for two weeks before performing at that concert.

Thanks for the info. I thought it had come out of nowhere. I've followed Cuca's youtube channel since about 2011 and I don't remember her playing drums but I do remember a couple of vids of her practising piano. That was a long time ago tho and it was only one or two so she likely didn't keep it up.

I've never thought of her as a singer, but she surprised me here. She must have worked very hard to improve so much.

 

I agree, she really has improved. I loved her performance here... was disappointed that she didn't make it but was happy to see her in the top 20 from her performance group

 

on the 14th STU had a national hs event with AKB,she shared her lane with Fukuda Akari and Team 8 members Okabe Rin,Hama Sayuna and Onishi Momoka
