Otake Hitomi and Saito Haruna were promoted to Team B today in during Team B's stage. They will also perform as full Team B members in Team B's tour performance on September 27th.

15 without Team 8 members, 23 with Team 8 (without Honda Hitomi) or 24 with Hitomi.

Interesting to see how many members are in other teams, since we already brought that up.

Team: # members without Kennin (# members including Kennin)

Team A: 12 (17)

Team B: 15 (24 with Honda Hitomi)

Fromis_9's Jang Gyuri popped up during Saho's Showroom streaming. (Around 20:00 mark)

If you watched Produce 48 you might remember Gyuri was a contestant in the show and, her and her group belonged to the same agency to IZ*One, Off The Record.

It was speculated the location was AKS office as an interpreter was present.

Fromis_9 supposedly was gearing for Japanese debut. Its member visiting AKS office and allowed to show up next to AKB's member suggested AKS would promote this group in Japan too, just like IZ*One. And, this meant AKS and Off The Record had developed partnership beyond just IZ*One. (Currently, Off The Record has 2 groups under its wings, Fromis_9 and IZ*One and has some female trainees who are learning Japanese.)

This partnership possibly doesn't end with just AKS promoting Off The Record's girls in Japan, Off The Record may bring 48 to Korea in 1 way or another.

Since Fromis_9 has no tie to 48 sorority, will this be the first time AKS promoting a group whose songs aren't written by Akimoto?

 

Fromis_9 is not that super popular in Korea. Given that how much the privilege Iz*One get when they are being manage by AKS in Japan, it is quite smart move for OTR to extend the partnership beyond the Iz*One and towards permanent group like Fromis_9 (and extending Han Sung Soo dream).

Nuest used to have subgroup Nuest M when they promote in China with addition of one Chinese member. OTR can have same arrangement with Fromis_9. Fromis_9 can have subgroup in Japan like Fromis_16 or something with the addition of 48G members which is the former of Produce48 contestants. It is basically a win win situation without any radical adjustment.

Hoo, boy. Now you've gone and done it. You planted the seed so now I'm going to be dreaming of this.

I would love to see them make a subunit like this and add, say, Miu, Miru, Sae, Erii, and Saho. I choose them since they're close in age to the current Fromis members (except for Saho, but it *was* her stream) and would suit their concepts. I'm not a huge fan of Fromis or anything, but they have some decent songs that would suit 48 group girls so I'd be very much into it.
