I am loving Kojiharu's youtube vids so far. She has such a relax and calm demeanor in her vids. Her personality is like this too. I also love her speaking voice in these videos.

I used to follow this one (https://cuckooo.tistory.com/), that compiled her SNS presence (not only her SNS, but when she appeared in other's), magazine scans, commercials... But he seems to have stopped.

Hard to believe that's the same girl who years ago told a useless story on AKBingo about feeling ill on a bus and then feeling much better after getting into a seat that a large woman had just vacated. Could Kojiharu's modeling career make her the most successful of all the grads?

 

I wonder, what makes them successful? Is it how much we see of them here in the west? There's a few girls that weren't all that big in 48 but are doing splendid in their own respective field of chosen career post idoling.

 

Yes, you're correct, of course. I phrased the question badly. I obviously meant to say, of all the grads that chose to remain in the public eye as a singer, actress, model, TV personality, etc, could we agree that her career has been the best? Maeda's acting resume is outstanding since leaving the group. I would put her at the top of the list. My humble opinion only, of course.

 

I know, but I meant for example Iwasa Misaki is doing really well as well. She's doing Enka music, which is not like pop, but she releases music very regularly so she must be doing well in her field.



And Tano Yuka has been incredibly busy since her graduation last May


So I'd put those two up there as well.

I think Akimoto Sayaka and Itano Tomomi are doing fairly okay too. Sayaka is mostly in CMs and co-hosting some stuff, and Tomomi releases singles at least once a year and seems to get by on that.

But yeah, Kojiharu is very busy and doing really well. I sometimes wish I had the money to buy some of her Herlipto stuff cause it's really pretty

Help me to understand. Is she a ''runway model'' these days? Is her height (or lack thereof) pose a problem for her modeling career? I'm guessing she's about 5' 4'' or 5' 5'' tall. I always thought your classic runway models were much much taller. I remember seeing a picture of Itano Tomomi modeling designer handbags years ago in Japan and they posed her standing between two European models who appeared to be over 6 feet taller. And I remember laughing at the caption which, more or less, read------''this is why Japanese women do not become runway fashion models''.

 

In Europe and other Western countries, yes, the height requirement is high (especially for runway models), but they're typically much taller than an average Japanese person. I found a recent list of the top 12 models in Japan from Marie Claire and it seems the models are anywhere between 5'5 and 5'10. https://www.marieclaire.com.au/japanese-models
