LOL I think what happened is that in recent months, Yukirin always had to clear up that she's not announcing graduation now, for example when she had her birthday stage etc. so I think she thought that she needs to let everyone know that she won't graduate soon so people can stop expecting it or worry about it. so for 1 week she made people expect the announcement and now everyone got to hear/see that she'll stay until 30 at least. Now she doesn't have to clear up anymore and people won't bring up graduation talks for at least 2 years XD tbh at first I really did think it could be her graduation because I initially thought the announcement was 1 day after (I think I saw a mistranslation) but it was 1 week after, that made me think that it would be something else, because it's not Yukirin's type to make fans wait and worry 1 week to announce graduation (if it was just 1 day of waiting then it would be possible). Besides the way Yukirin teased the announcement again, and even the other members (I think I saw Yuihan's tweet earlier about their appearance and she asked "what could be Yukirin's announcement?" which she wouldn't post if it was something sad) made me think that it will be something "happy", like Yukirin being center of the next single or something LOL Turns out it's about her staying for at least 2 more years and now Yukirin herself and all her fans can stop thinking and talking about graduation and just enjoy her idol activities
My heart has been racing this last hour... So, to clarify: she will not consider graduation until she is 30, or she will graduate when she's 30? Because either way that's another eighteen months or so, and I can quite happily live with that.
She said "I will not graduate until I turn 30" so that could technically mean either. We can relax though for about 2 more years tho
LOL! Eternal idol indeed. People can stop speculating now about her graduating soon. I wonder who will graduate first, her or Miichan?
The former. Anyway, that's good news for me. I also think it's a good intention not to make anyone worry and keep talking about her graduation, at least for the next 2 years.
I'm so glad I was so wrong. Hopefully she'll stay a bit longer than 2 years, I wouldn't mind her original goal of idol until 40. Sucks for those who wanted to see her perform on her graduation concert with Mayuyu, they gotta wait a bit longer.
I'm glad she's staying. It's not unprecedented to have 30+ year olds in the 48 groups so Yukirin is really fine. I really like that idol groups are changing a little and not finding aging to be a "bad" thing. Like if you enjoy ur job, why leave? lol. Yukirin clearly enjoys being an idol. I'm not sure if she cares about dating or marriage, but that's her own personal decision it seems now. Also, Yukirin looks great lol. She's super youthful and has a lot of energy. She can totally rival newbies lol. Kojiharu and Mariko were totally different. They had such a mature and grown up vibe to them.
We can tell Yukirin really loves becoming an idol and staying at AKB. It's not like she doesn't know what to do after graduating. She has plenty of career paths to choose, like she is more than good enough to start her own solo singing career for example.
I mean technically she has a solo career already and makes good money off of it. I didn't buy Birthday Wedding for nothing, Yukirin lol. Where is the album.
