    G-bomb.
Shiraishi Mai just dropped the big G. 25th single will be her last (March 25?)
Now we know who will be the next center.
Anyone prepared for this? I sure am not.
BTW, got the news from FB N46 club

If this is true (most likely it is) this is probably why they performed Synchronicity at Kohaku instead of Sing Out!

Oof, I am crushed to hear about Maiyan. I knew it would happen sooner or later, but I always hoped she would be one of the last few 1st gen standing. She is just so wonderful as an idol, from her personality to her aura to her looks. So popular and successful, yet so humble, hard-working, and loyal to the group. The most perfect Sakamichi idol to date, imo.

I expect her graduation single and concert to be nothing less than amazing. Fingers crossed for another Synchro-like release.

Well this is Nogizaka's "Aachan" moment. It's certainly a turning point and maybe a tipping point, it'll be interesting to see how they deal with this and move on.

    Maiyan ain't Maeda Atsuko ; That's Ikoma
If anything only comparison would be Sashihara Rino.
So Nogi will Release 25th at March
    Hinata will release 4th Feb
The others would be pushed further back from April onwards

Barcelona are probably preparing for the retirement of Lionel Messi in a couple of years but there's no knowing for sure what the effect of it will be.

Wrong. Ikoma was a failure, it's no coincidence that Sony dumped her from center and Nogizaka really took off.

Tbh imo, Nogizaka already had their "acchan" moment when Naachan graduated.

Maiyan is pretty much the Yuko (in terms of being the other ace) and Kojiharu of Nogizaka.

Nope, Shiraishi has always been bigger than Naachan in terms of popularity and recognition by the GP. She's huge and everywhere in Japan on commercials, billboards etc. Everybody knows her. I honestly think she's even more popular than Acchan.

And why do we have to compare it to AKB? I don't think Nogi could have her "Acchan": Acchan's graduation was big also cause she was not only the "number one" but it was the real first big graduation from a kami member of the group.

On Nogi we already had graduations like Fukagawa's, Hashimoto's, Ikoma's... things went in a different way. Mayan has been on this group for more than 8 years.

TBH I predicted Maiyan will annouce her gradution at least after Tokyo Olympic but not so early like this.

Man, call Ikoma a failure is a bit hurt. I'd rather say Neither Management didn't have an experience nor Nogi didn't find their own way.

I really feel sad having one of my top 2 Nogi members graduating. As an IkuMai fan, I always thought that Ikuchan and Maiyan’s grad are just around the corner considering their successful solo careers but waking up to the news of Maiyan graduating, I realized that I am actually not ready for any one of them leaving the group. Another sad thing about this is that Sayurin might follow next considering that she mentioned before that Maiyan is a huge factor why she still is in Nogi.
It would feel so empty for me not seeing Maiyan anymore in Nogichuu and their live performances.

Although things didn't work out as planned with Ikoma as a center, calling her a failure is not only an unnecessary insult, it's also completely wrong. She still achieved so many things for the group. Her hard work and perseverance should be commended, not shot down.

Blame management if you really feel the need to, not the member who became the victim of poor choices.
