"i like her, so it's justifiable" is on the same coin as "i dislike her, so it isn't." most fans could probably give you myriad reasons why whatever member is (not) or should (not) be whatever rank. this isn't a real explanation; just PR. PR that ignores the last year or so, to boot.

Except the the specific reasons I listed apply to this year too. Try paying attention to the things she's actually done and said, not the BS people on Twitter and 5ch with too much time on their hands imagined.

In other news, Ogiyuka's manager opened a twitter account to post news, off-shots, etc. for her:

Also, she got a new puppy
    Picking him up:

At home, I got a Tiny Poodle
As a friend for my stuffed animal buddy Saburo
    His name is Kosaburo
They became friends(?) and played together immediately
When I picked up Saburo at the end his face looked so sad

Seems like he had a little accident on her Dad's trousers [hehe]

He demonstrated a little more potty-training than the day before, so she was able to take him out of the cage to play for a bit.

Well, pretty is a subjective quality
So what may be non-pretty for you, would be pretty for someone else

And being pretty isn't the only quality fans look for

And really, you're looking for talent as a basis for many votes, masuda yuka, one of the best singer in AKB during her time never ranked in senbatsu. So that qualifier doesnt count too.

There could be a lot of reason why she got so many votes, and people choose whatever they want to believe
If you're a hater, you'll probably believe the yakkai wota reasoning,
    If you're a fan, you'll probably believe that it's because she's a hardworker

The only definite thing we can say, really, is why we like her personally.
For me, it's because of how she got into the 48G, all the auditions she went through and the disappointment, the never give up attitude inspires.
Another factor is she looks like a younger version of my ex-girlfriend.

@wlerin i am paying attention to the things she's done and said, as are others who are much more invested than myself from whom you have surely heard on this very forum.
unless you are the one who paid for enough votes to get her so high (and i'm betting you aren't) you can't say anymore than anyone where her votes came from. "she's this or has this quality" has no value that can equate to votes gained.

... So now you're essentially arguing there's no point even asking the question. To an extent that's true, we can't know for sure what the person or persons who gave her so many initial votes were thinking without asking them directly. But that... that just ends the discussion right there, why even bring it up. In so far as there is a question that can be answered, I gave some reasons why I voted for her, and some of what I've heard from others who did. That is "value that equates to votes gained".

And continues to do so, at least for me.

i'm saying it's convenient for you to say what boils down to "she deserved it" because we'll likely never know where her (or anyone in ngt's) votes came from, but nonetheless, her ranking raised eyebrows even before the revelations of the past year. you obviously don't care whether or not her rank was legit or not, so, as they say, "your argument is invalid."

Yeah this discussion is pretty pointless I think as there is pretty much no knowing where sll these votes came from. AllI can say personally, I decided to oshi yuka not based on her ranking at all. Did it help her getting noticed by me? Yes, of course. But now, bc of the Maho thing, she’s going through a rough time, getting mean replies under each tweet she sends out and basically getting dropped (just like the entire ngt48) by a lot if wotas who used to support her. I’m not tgat kind of fan and unless I get concrete evidence she’s a bad person,I’m going to stand with her and with the values she represents for me personally (always keeping your head up, being determined in your goals, facing the difficulties with a smile). Thanks for coming to my TED talk I guess

where did this come from? well, like i said, we bring it up because we aren't sure she got where she did by virtue of her own charm and perseverance. whether or not that matters to you as a fan (of 48 or idols in general) is another question.
