Did anyone buy the photobook?

I've been deciding between buying this and AKB48 Yokoyama Yui's photo book. I was originally leaning towards Yokochan's photobook, but I've seen now that it's mostly gravure and I don't like that a lot. From what I know, Sakamichi groups do less gravure than 48 groups, but that might be a false impression, as Hinata is really the first group I've gotten into...

TL;DR: Is there a lot of or even any gravure in the photobook? I don't enjoy it much.

 

Sadly, you can't run away from gravure in PBs. Personally I think it is a wee bit too much but that is quite subjective so I did a quick count through all the pages and these are the numbers. Some of them are borderline so not accurate ymmv.

Gravure: 44
Non-gravure: 148
Percentage of gravure: 23%
As a comparison I counted the PB of someone who I think is one of the classiest in 48 group, Yuihan, and it is 35%.

And if anyone is asking....although there are alot of food pictures, Kyoko does not eat ramen in any of them.

 

I know, I currently own three photobooks (AKB48 Akimoto Sayaka, AKB48/STU48 Okada Nana and AKB48 Renacchi Sousenkyo 2016) and there are some gravure shots in there as well. Especially the latter two. They can be classy and I'm not necessarily against some bikini shots or photos in pretty underwear, but sometimes it feels more like a porn magazine, which is what I don't like.

Kyoko is at an age where I'm more comfortable seeing some pictures with little clothing (she's only 4 months younger than myself).

I have to say even for me as a men the route that AKBG has gone is too much boobs and swimsuit, especially in magazines. As for Sakamichi the sexy shots are limited to photobooks. In the end you need to compromise and have a talented photographer. You should watch the first 6 episodes from Sashihara no Ran it is really interesting in this respect.

Such a lovely set of photos. Nice to see the book still selling consistently too, it'll be interesting to see who'll get a photobook next. Even better would be another group photobook.

 

PB for Toshi-chan is way, way overdue in my (selfish) opinion. I'd love another group PB - with the new 3rd gens included too, of course. I predict a Kosakana one...next year maybe. Then again I'm pretty bad at predictions.

My country still have limited inter-state travel rules due to the pandemic, so I haven't been able to buy Kyoko's PB yet. That's a high priority.

 

Lucky to get the PB thanks to Team Hinata Subs' contest. Excellent work by Kyonko!

Katoshi would be great for the next PB, and so would the other models (Miipan, Sasaku, Osushi, Otake,etc).

 

Congrats to Kyoko!! She will have a new program on TV Asahi on Wed with comedian Hiccorohee named Kyokorohee which aims to understand the joy of dancing. It will start 31 March.

Yay, finally it's here~ the Kyoko PB

• After my first run-trough...I feel that this is a very, very well done PB. So happy with my purchase.
• Kyoko is an alluring, gorgeous lady. If I didn't knew that, this PB highlights that so much.
  
• I'm already used to sexy shots, even so there are still images in here that make me go, "whoa, girl!". I like the non-sexy shots too (Kyoko feeding a cat, Kyoko in kimono, among others).
  
• If you're fan of hers...this PB gets an instant high recommendation from me.
• The best Hinata PB for me so far...well, not much to choose from since there are only 2 others (Miho and the group PB, IIRC). Hopefully more to come!
