kage: i guess it's OK for me to reveal this now... but in the end i never took the entrance exams for tokyo university. my health took the turn for the worst, to the point where i couldn't get myself to study anymore. i had to give up on it

thanks for the information. so kagechan never take todai exam at all because of her health, and now she chooses to work in entertainment world. I still remember she had dream as 45 years old idol who works too in Japanese politics. i hope she is happy with her choice, always love kagechan works in football show

 

This is not what was said.

She merely did not take university entrance exams. She did not say she has given up on politics.

Yuuka at least graduated high school, some politicians, past and present, either dropped out of high school or had only graduated junior high.

Also, many politicians worked in the entertainment industry before running for office. I think she still has a good chance.

Speaking of which, her answer when asked about why she took the Hiragana Keyaki audition was somewhat reminiscent of a politician . She both was not selected in the AKB48 2015 Draft and failed the first Keyaki audition, but mentioning these would be improper and therefore she basically said “I don’t necessarily have no memories of that time, but rather I wasn’t thinking anything at the time, I simply took it because it was being held”. A rather vague answer IMO.

Japanese politicians are known to say “I have no memory [of the event]” when questioned over nefarious or illegal matters.
