Vocal and guitar of those three bands are the same persons, and "THE BLUE HEARTS" is the first band, "HIGH-LOWS" is the second, and "THE CRO-MAGNONS" is the third.
So "THE BLUE HEARTS" and "HIGH-LOWS" were already disbanded.
Their music is kinda "j-rock" + "punk".
They are one of the most famous and popular bands among about 20 - 45 years old people in Japan.
Many of young J-rock bands have been influenced by them.

Actually, these are a few of Visual kei bands that i like...
    Malice Mizer (Gackt era)
*and i say, Gackt is only cool when he was in Malice Mizer*
Lareine (i don't know, their songs are just 'click' with me)
Shazna sooo sweet almost like J-pop
Hizaki Grace Project (Kamijo's new band) : Cool speed metal style... :D

I found the video featuring the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra and Koumoto Hiroto, who is the vocalist of "THE BLUE HEARTS", "HIGH-LOWS" and "THE CRO-MAGNONS".

And for that you are awesome Laughing

Their new PV for My heart draws a dream came out a few days ago, you can watch it HERE. I absolutely LOVE this song and PV. I know some people don't like the whole animal theme that's going on, but I think it's a great concept. Such a fantastic song, the ending sort of brings tears to my eyes. Also HYDE's voice is incredible, and his newer deeper voice suits it very well.
Laughing Sorry if I sounded offended, I really wasn't. After thinking about it I kind of know where you're coming from, a lot of the music from visual kei bands do sound sort of similar (there are many exceptions though). In the end I think that's just a coincidence, I'm sure the way they look didn't influence them.
Is he an otaku? I saw him on Music station and I think I heard something about Akihabara, not really sure though. I've listened to a few of their songs, I think they're pretty good.

He is not really an otaku like you imagined (his hobbies and interests are kinda otaku-like, though; for example, customizing motorcycle, pro-wrestling, some anime, and so on). Since he had an interest in maid cafe, he went there. But I think he has been to maid cafe only one time.

    Anyone here like Sambomaster?

They're not really a band I listen to a lot, because to be honest a lot of their songs sound very much alike to me, but every once in a while I love to listen to a track or two. It always strikes me as great music to scream along to during a concert, especially Yogisha de Yattekita Aitsu and Utagoe yo Okore.

Also, since Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra was mentioned: the first band that really got me into that genre of music was Yum! Yum! ORANGE. I really love them, which makes me think I would like other ska-like bands as well. But every time I try to listen to a different band I compare them to Yum! Yum! ORANGE and because of that I can never really get into them. Really weird.

I also like Kishidan. They're awesome. Their live performances are even better because of all the wacky stuff in there.

As for me, I really like GO!GO!7188...sort of surf vs punk with enka-style vocals and dead beautiful lyrics. Also, Kana <3 ...Thee Michelle Gun Elephant...Judy and Mary...Velvet Eden...Zigzo...Shonen Knife...Due'le Quartz...um...I guess I still love Luna Sea & Tetsu-era Malice Mizer, too. About five years ago I was a HUGE Malice Mizer fan, I can't even explain...I still have their entire discography...but I rarely listen to anything outside of the first album or the Kami memorial box (which is a masterpiece, by the way) unless I'm feeling nostalgic.

Let's see, what else...sometimes I think that I like Boowy, but somehow it always turns out to be a fleeting feeling, so I don't know if I'm actually a fan or if I only like a couple of their songs. Um. I love Cocco and Shiina Ringo, but they don't stick solely within the rock genre. (& more power to them--experimentation appeals to me beyond anything else.)

Oh right. X Japan is amazing.

Lately, though, I've been really into Kiiiiiii. Sort of stripped down punk, I guess. Reminds me of something Kathleen Hanna would think up. Basically amazing.

Well yes you're right. I think about it too, maybe it comes from my path of music, from i was little (well maybe in junior high school) i had been influenced by heavy rock music from my surroundings, and perhaps it shapes what i have in mind about rock music. :)

    I think
I don't really listen to their songs a lot too, but I like them.
I don't know why I like them. Maybe I like their "emotional" performances.

Yeah, their performances are really unique and awesome. They're much better in live. (Shou (vocal/leader) caused trouble at "Kouhaku Uta Gassen" last year because of his performance, though.)

Fun fact: it took me way too long to realize he and DJ OZMA are the same person.

There were even several occasions on which I thought "Hey, this DJ OZMA is kind of like a pop version of Kishidan because they have the same weird things in their PVs and lives."

Just found out that Hizaki Grace Project has ever used Gackt and Juka (Moi dix Mois's vocalist) as their vocalist. The latest one is Kamijo of Lareine. Is Hizaki Grace Project only one side project or...??

OK so I went to a GazettE concert last week, and it was mind (and ear) blowingly phenomenal  I'm not sure if there're many GazettE fans here, so I'll try and keep this short:

Here are some short clips that my friend took. They're not the best quality because we weren't actually allowed to take pictures or videos, so these were done on the sly. CLICK and CLICK.

As you can see from the clips, we were on the second level standing on a balcony thing. Although I wasn't as close as the people on the ground, I'd say we had an awesome view (we actually had space to move around, unlike the people below). Aoi, Ruki and Kai even looked in our direction a few times, which was so cool <3 One of the highlights of the night was this 50 year old Japanese woman with glasses headbanging to the songs  She even headbutted the girl behind her. I thought she was possessed or something, because she was acting like the girl from the Exorcist (the bit where she's bouncing on the bed...only this Japanese woman was doing it sideways lol).

A fantastic night that I'll never forget <3
