Event / Concert AKB48 in New York for Japan Day 2015

I'll try to take pictures of the event too! I probably have finals on the Monday after too, but at least the performance starts around 3. Good stress reliever though!

Actually this can be a nice holiday for NyanNyan.

I wasn't expecting anything but a 20 minute performance. I knew if they were ever to come to Europe or the US again it would be some kind of anime or Japan convention and not a proper concert, but it's still a nice experience. I would definitely go if you have the chance. I've hesitated before about going to concerts, wondering if it's worth it, but when I did, afterwards I couldn't believe I almost missed such a nice experience. The atmosphere you experience at a live show is really unique and moments when an artists you love makes eye contact and acknowledges your existence is something priceless you'll remember for the rest of your life.

Anyway, what songs do you think they'll perform? I'm betting on Heavy Rotation, KFC, another cheery idol song, maybe Oogoe Diamond or Aitakatta and maybe a more recent one, since it's likely they'll throw in a slower song as well, Green Flash perhaps?

 

I'm definitely looking forward to it. I went to see them the last time they did a concert in NYC and I've been dying for them to come back ever since.

I think that KFC is a high possibility because of the video Japan Day made last year.

 

Though highly unlikely, Bokutachi wa tatakawanai would be a pleasant surprise.

All the instances where I may be able to catch a glimpse of them?

 

My guesses are Heart Erike, Heart Gata Virus, KNP, maybe Ai no Sonzai, and I'm not sure - perhaps Heavy Rotation but I cant see kojiharu centering it.... Hmm perhaps KFC

I'm considering it since I live in Toronto but 2 days of travel for 20 minutes seems a bit much... Either way I used this as an opportunity to get my passport, should arrive soon.

Ok I thought you meant it's a 2 day journey to get there. Yeah its a lot of commute and very expensive (by this method). Just weighing options ^^
