Ranks 26-50 have been posted! There goes another 6 of my girls, but that means 7/20 made the Top 25. That's not entirely surprising since I do have a knack for liking the popular members or picking members that eventually grow popular <.<

I'm pleased as punch that Mikurin made Top 50 this year! Hopefully all the tweets and translations of her G+/mobame that I've done have let more people know about her. Honestly, I was even considering giving her my +15 and Sakura my +10 for the year of 2015 even though Sakura is my kami-oshi, but I figured Sakura would get negged to death so I couldn't take the chance. I'll explain my reasoning for Mikurin and the other girls later!

Five of my girls ranked in this time. Honestly, my heart was beating so fast and I was so scared to look but my top four are still in it so I'm pretty excited. I'm not too surprised that Katomina ranked this high on her first year. There's been a lot of buzz surrounding her and I really like her. Hirari went up 20 ranks! Whoo! Both Chiyori and Haruu went up in rank too so I can't complain. I'm not too shocked about Tani dropping as I feel there hasn't been nearly as much talk about her and buzz surrounding her as there was last year. I'm so nervous for these next couple days! I'm pretty sure the rest of my girls will show up tomorrow but I'm hoping my #1 at least makes it into the top 10!!!!

Not surprised to see Maiyan here (and at the top of the pack no less). Drop dead gorgeous, talented, always interesting, charismatic, and all around goddess. She's remained firmly in at the top of the Nogi popularity ranks and at the top of my own personal rankings for good reason. I expected her to be carrying the torch for Nogizaka in the Top 25 but it appears Ikutan and Nanasemaru will be doing that this year. Can't wait to see their results.

Three of my remaining votes I fully expected to see in Top 25 (Top 10 even) but I'm floored about the other two. I was just happy enough to have them in Top 50. The level of thread activity and talk about them I've seen around here didn't make me think they stood a chance.

RICCHAN!!!!!! Still incredibly sad that she graduated. And still incredibly excited for all the post-48 work she has gotten. This little lady was a star rising in AKB. Now she is a star rising on her own in an even more competitive field.

Annin is one courageous young lady. She did not back down to the challenges that are inherent in 48G, she did not back down to the challenges thrown on her by a deranged individual, and the injuries caused by him. And she sure is not backing down because of some nay-sayers. She says she gets her courage from her fans. If so, we are doing right my fellow Annin-fans. And she is a good actress on top of all that. Killer model, as well.

Yuria. My nick-name for her is "Hotness". The one member in all of 48G my GF admits a bit of jealousy towards. I could go on about her acting skills, dancing skills, ect. But this one, is mostly just about looks, TBH. Shallow af, I know. But damn, does she get my blood pressure climbing.

Juri. The job she is doing as Team 4 Captain. Loved and respected by so many 48G members. Easy to talk to, more than willing to listen and advice. Great MC. Quirky way of thinking.

Renacchi slipped a little this go-round. That is more to others climbing than my love for Pretty Pretty Renacchi falling. (This is true for a number of girls, really.) She did come back to B. Were she belongs.

Not much to say!Right now Nagisa is my NMB oshi and I was considering her to be my new kami oshi!I guess I like smiley face girls!The rest are pretty much fillers like I already said!I must admit that for like Annin and Karen I lost a bit of interest in them so that's why they're low in my rank!Also I just like Miku I guess!I know Miku and Nako aren't rivals but since they're often paired together,it can't help that some might want to compare them or want to pick a favorite so a while back I decided to pick Miku!A big part of that might be because it seemed to me like Nako was favored by their senpais a little more so I felt like vouching for the underdog!

Well now, Some might ask - How did I get here? Simple... The Future. Yuria has been warming my heart for awhile now. I think everytime I see her, I like her More. She's want I want in an Idol- She's Sexy, Kawaii, Talented, Funny, radiant, and has Gravure that leaks liquid magma it's SOO HOT. I like that she's been given Kawaei's "Baka Center song" - I LOVE her version of "Dear J" - she's unlike any Idol I've grown to enjoy and she oddly has similarities to many of the more Popular Idols I already love...She's Fresh & Young and Managment seems to like her.

I can Enjoy her without much "baggage"- I don't need others to Sub her for me. My Love & Fascination w/ her is genuine - I doesn't feel like a Rubber Stamp. If I had a T-Shirt w/ her on it I'd wear it. I'll enjoy ANYTHING she does. Her face alone is luscious & speaks of the Hopes & Dreams of my Fantasy Japanese girl. I'm looking forward to whatever she does. I have "Hopes" that when the 1st Gens GET OUT OF THE WAY!!! She'll be one of the Few AKB48 girls w/ actually Ability & talent beyond looking "pretty" and actually can LEAD this team into whatever they become- She could be another Itano or AKB's Dancing Dynamo? This is more "Payback" or Points earned for a Job well down. I'm always worried she's going to leave because despite her Kawaii AS F&*K everything...management doesn't "push" or Use her to her fullest. She's 20 (21?) she even put her 1st public alcoholic drink as a Vine? Video on Social Media and it was CUTE! She gives you "the Feelz" - those Moe Butterflys just by being herself. Some Idols spend LIVES trying to have that effect- You gotta be BORN w/ it.

She's got that Ariana Grande thing where she looks "15" & yet IS acts much older. I like the risks she took w/ being in a prom dress & kissing a girl in a pool. PROOF she's not a dainty waif - she knows how to be suggestive & Sexy and never be slutty. She's got a Grace that I think mostly ALL of the Wests "starlets" lack. She's very intelligent & she's not an Attention Grabber - she's subtle like a Fine Wine or Piano concerto- She might be too evolved for some "idol stuff". Her average pictures (like her w/ Food or just modeling clothes) are prettier & more MOE than actually professional shot stuff. She's just a NATURAL. Her Gravures are Always "tasteful" but she's not afraid to be FULL Bikini or Seductive (like say Jurina?) I haven't seen her fail at anything & the Girl has NO Negatives!!!

I could've switched her & Nagisa Shibuya around but their both +4's. I really hope for MORE advances & more Uses of the "Feelz Queen" of HKT48

I am curious how Yuria Kizaki got 22 negatives (that I "Canceled 15 of")- explain if you like, I have no beef w/ it (You took your shot)- I want to understand the "why's". I actually thought she was generally LIKED- but hey, It is what it is.

Ahh I remember feeling so hipster during the 7th gen auditions when I was enthusiastic about her brightness and her dance background and wondering what I would do with myself if she didn't pass; while Kano and Yunana were definitely the most favoured (and Kano by far) on s48 and in the official fan voting as well. But I lucked out and chose the gorioshi girl! On the other hand, what ever do I do? Now people are going to think my taste is basic! *laughs at the thought of caring about such things* I'm glad she's so popular on stage. I'm hoping it's a testament to her potential mainstream or casual appeal. I think it's not just the English but her unique cuteness, charm and spunk that draws people in! At least I hope so I'm proud of the one neg vote too in a way lol, she's made it so far in a year with jellymad haters and all :')

Ok I don't plan to make a write-up for everyone, but I want to just say the moment that made me realize how much Ryoha is maturing was her being the first to talk to Rara and make her feel at home in the Maenomeri senbatsu. I can dig up Rara's blog where she talks about it if needed lol, but it was really sweet to see her step up and be a senpai and even be capable of doing that. Because she's the type that makes you worry a bit, ha. On another note she's getting super gorgeous! I remember I used to think she looked like some kind of adorable... woodland creature I was pleasantly surprised at how energetic and smiley she was at hs event, her eyes are so sparkly in person, I can't. But I won't pretend I choose favourites based on hs, rather I chose to hs with my favourites (and this is what I will always do, just preference^^)

Another 6 in so that makes it 14/20. Also in comes the negatives votes as I expected on Yuria and to a lesser extent Renacchi. Being pushed guarantees you hate so no surprises there. Yuria's results was what I was most interested in for this rankings and it's as I thought with her getting less positives and more negatives compared to last year without including the fact that I didn't participate previously either. Honestly depressing to see but then again it's always been like that with the lack of support for her on here.

First, thank you for the +15 for Yuria. I'm glad someone else appreciates her for her good points. On the negatives, if you frequent this forum, you'd notice there's next to no one who actually goes around with their oshimen set as Yuria. She lacks support on here and she's usually mentioned more in a negative light than a positive one. I try not to care if people dislike her though it is hard at times since she doesn't deserve the hate (and nor do many other members) but there's nothing I can do to change their mind other than to keep supporting her like I always have.

Her transfer and AKB push hasn't helped though in that she hasn't really gained many new fans while losing a lot of the SKE fanbase. Many people think she doesn't deserve her push and senbatsu spot or that she isn't making the best out of her opportunity given and should be given to a newer gen instead. She's also not exactly like your typical idol with your cutesy attitude, a fisher or even one of the more talkative/outspoken members. She is however brutally honest and aspects of her personality are different to your typical member (and I could say looks too but that's more subjective) and can easily lead to the dislike she gets. The list of reasons for why she's hated can go on and on.

Another problem you could consider is that management don't know how to utilise her after transferring her in their efforts to keep her within the 48G. Her talents are dancing and acting. The former she's rarely given the chance to show off after her SKE days even though I doubt you could count on one hand dancers in AKB that are better than her, just ask the SKE members of her skill. The dance stage is just one example, I was expecting her to get something nice but instead she gets Ambulance. I wanted skill but once again she gets something that isn't dance based, last time she got something was probably Dear J or something long ago. And let's not even get started on her actress career she pursues. She moved to Tokyo to follow her dreams, AKB took that as the opportunity to transfer her and keep her talents instead of watching her graduate. She's however had nothing for almost a year since GTO and Tatakau Shoten Girl and I wished management would help find her more acting gigs since she's one of the few with talent in the group. Shes just poorly managed and to those who don't know her well, I suppose she could be seen like another pretty face that's a waste of space at the back of senbatsu.

In the end it's just infuriating to see the way management tries to push her yet instead are shafting her. Sometimes I wonder if she would be liked more if they managed her better or left her in SKE. Probably would have but hindsight is 20/20 and no point mulling over that now. At least they've done one thing correct in making her captain I suppose and helping to develop her leadership abilities. Sorry I broke off on a tangent about Yuria's situation like that but I just wanted to let it out.

If there is an English translation of it, then yes please. She has been on my periphery radar since Maenomeri. Her rendition of Karehara no Station at RH2016 as finally got me taking a closer look at Lalachan. Insights from her writings would be much appreciated.

 

I too am shocked that Tani has no negatives, lol. She's all over the place and doesn't even clean her room! Maybe it's because people see less of her than some other girls.

For all the talk about negative votes...Rino really gets slammed on here. -74 points? I'm sure Jurina will do worse or even Mayu or somebody on that level, but 46 positive votes to 23 negative, that's quite a ratio to have. Like a 1/3 of her points were taken away. I even went to look at last year's voting just to compare and it's already beating most of them.

I've noticed I missed Shu, not sure if anyone else but it's hard to go down the list and not get dizzy from all the names.

I voted Yuria 2nd on my list, I've really come to appreciate her more and more, as well as enjoying her close relationship with Dasu over the years (which helped). I've been trying to find girls I can support for the future and Yuria was one I couldn't help but like. One minute she's got this dorky smile, the next she's a goddess. The energy and movement of her dancing is something I love to watch, it stands out from a lot of girls for me. Whether Yankee or Baka, she entertains no matter what she does, and is definitely my AKB oshimen for so many reasons.

Excited for Churi's place too, she's at least in the top 25 again which is good.
