I watched her Showrooms yesterday and was very impressed. She is energetic as I believed she was, she is funny. I took some stills from her streams: She wrote the kanji for TEMPURA https://twitter.com/h36113/status/740662946792144896 She wrote the kanji for SAPPORO https://twitter.com/h36113/status/740662606759899138 She smiles https://twitter.com/h36113/status/740655034493501442 she Shows her forehead https://twitter.com/h36113/status/740497743148417025 She laughs https://twitter.com/h36113/status/740492525773983744 While she does the MARIA BEAM https://twitter.com/h36113/status/740489014319435776 Just beeing cute https://twitter.com/h36113/status/740488096408600576
Sorry to bring up such an old topic, but... You're literally changing the meaning of that whole scene. Kojiharu was telling the KKS they could sit down NEXT TO HER, as there were empty chairs there. They were refusing the same way they refuse being told they're cute or good at something. As for the girls having to do chores and whatnot, it's a very Japanese thing to do, as others have said. If you're so keen on documentaries, I recommend you this one, where the LEGENDARY ACCHAN AND COMPANY tell how they had to clean the theatre in their early days. I do wonder if it was always like that though. It is usually said that the 8th gen acted like freaking queens (hence why they were sacked), so maybe they implemented the whole rule-following thing from there on. That has never happened. Or do you know it has with certainty? It makes literally NO SENSE to have a girl accepted as a KKS (which means she's better than the other thousand girls who auditioned) and tell her she actually doesn't deserve to be there. NO. SENSE. As for KKS never turning into big names, Paruru says hi. As you were.
The vid is in the paruru thread so I won't repost it. Maria seems TINY and paruru looks more like her aunt than somebody who belongs to the same group. It was a good reminder that Maria was my favorite draft member. Anyone have something similar with her and Lovetan? Kinda related to the earlier discussion on how only original members get to be aces/legendary... paruru and sashi both started out as KKS. I remember when sashi got upset because people didn't know her name or thought she was kitahara rie (i used to think she was nakagawa haruka in AKBINGO until I got use to hearing sashi). Maria was extremely popular when she debuted in the theater and is still very young so who knows? Additionally, if we use absolute rather than relative popularity, don't forget that there were some members of the original Team A who never saw a full theater.
Yeah, I call that Jaws of Life Mode. Why, she clamped down on Maria during her HebiRote audition during draft night.
I am sure she is super thrilled with this! I mean, only drawback... her best friend didn't make it in with her... Maria got one of those "random" slots that are given out to try to make sure that all members get a chance eventually. Yes, Imada Mina, Kumazawa Serina, Fukagawa Maiko, Ui Mashiro, Ueno Haruka, Yamada Marina, Sakamoto Erena, Tsutsu Riko, Hokazono Hazuki, Yamauchi Yuna, and Murakawa Vivian haven't gotten their chance to be in an HKT48 CD A-side yet, though the first four at least got to be on AKB48 CD's HKT48 songs. But the goal is to rotate all of them in eventually... even if there are only 2-3 slots left open with all the members who until this CD were the permanent senbatsu. In fact, in this case-- pretty much half of those who always get to be in the senbatsu are gone and instead those who ranked well in the senbatsu without any of the push those other girl's have gotten for the last 5 years got put in. I don't know why a full 1/4th had to be devoted to the KKS though, it would have been nicer to reduce that list of 11 even more so with this nice go. Basically what I am getting at is that this will be the only senbatsu Maria is likely going to be in for a very, very long time to come... and since Vivian didn't make the cut, the three 2nd gen draft members probably aren't going to be in a senbatsu together for years. Also, I think there is sufficient reason to think this might be Sashihara's swan song.
