I left that part out because it was insulting

    not because it was untrue.

Fun fact: With the new kks, the 14th gen now have more kouhai than senpai! The makes the 15th gen the middle of AKB4 in terms of seniority. (15th gen would have more kouhai than senpai but they can't be their own kouhai...) (Note not counting Team 8 or kennins)

Fun fact 2: 9th gen have been in AKB for longer than Acchan was! 10th gen are only a month off this milestone!

Given this situation, I propose calling D2 and 16th gen "new gens", 13th, 14th, 15th and D1 "mid gens", and anyone older than that "old gens". After all, 12th gen have been around for over 5 years, and 15th and D1 have been around for 3 years...

*sits back to watch as everyone goes mental* :p

Also another fun fact, The 16th gen is now the 2nd biggest generation (with 19 members). Only the 1st generation was bigger.

They can since the 15th gen was a split gen.

Ok good point. Then I make it as follows: 1st-14th plus transfers is 36 girls, not counting kennins or people who've announced graduation. Macharin, D1, D2, 16th gen, and the four 15th gens who started later... makes 36 girls! So the original 15th gens are precisely the middle, they have as many kouhai as they do senpai. The minute any 1st-14th announces grad, then ori 15th gen are officially in the senior half of AKB4.

So. Definitely mid gens imho. :D

Only if you count research students. I wouldn't (although the D2s should have been promoted already).

    Meh, much ado about nothing.

AKB48 China sounds like a low-cost ripoff trying to avoid plagiarism in its name. :XD:

They screwed up with SNH and that's it for them.
Unless they have the very top members going all the way to China often (which is almost impossible), I doubt they'll gain anything.

They should just focus on the other international SG (TPE? Hello?) and what they already have in Japan (NGT's debut? SKE's album?) before moving on to the next thing.

It's like that .... how sad ... mixing music with politics ...... reminds me of the sad youth days when some jokers brand me as a traitor aloud just becoz I didn't speak a single mandarin ( not that I can't ) in the hotel ... not all of em are bad ... I have a number of friends from China but ...... some people just don't get it ........ regardless of race .....

So the official name is AKB48 China huh ... hope they learnt from their mistakes :glare:

Seems like a way to salvage and get any money they can get out of China after they lost SNH. Not surprisingly when China is the other biggest market on Asia. If they create groups I don't see it working too well tho. People will support home teams than AKB...even when SNH was associated with AKB they were bashed for being Japanese puppets by some. CHN48 already established their fanbase there so AKB will compete with them.

On other hand more drama is fun I guess~
