But its more fun reading/watching people "react" to "coming of age" and Idols. First it was just about hair style, now we're on a whole another level...
@sscrla And shoes that match. Preferably without Insoles. Bad Publicity is Good Publicity, I suppose.
She got people talking about her. It's a win, imo. The other girls still look traditionally beautiful, so... to each they're own? lol Plus, they LET HER APPEAR like that. Complain to the management haha
@nobodywil youu seem to always act like anytime someone says anything negative that people are enraged and fuming angry. I didn't get that impression from anyone else and I'm certainly not emotional about the topic. I just think it was a bad idea. It's an old, dirty suit (as she herself states), and at this point the weird accessories are the least of her worries but still not attractive. Yeah, she "got people talking" about her. But whether this is good for NMB or bad for NMB... I think it reflects badly, but that could just be me.
I'm on the side that she shouldn't have dressed like that... If she wanted to wear male clothing, fine, but she could have worn nice traditional male clothing instead of the baggy ugly suit and shiny platform shoes. It looks disrespectful and kind of spoils the group picture for all the girls who did their best to look nice.
This talk feels a bit like the whole "men shouldn't wear make-up" sh*t on twitter. Live and let live and so on? The other girls made an effort? Good for them. Momoka made an effort as well. She looks stunning, imo. If she was OKed to go out like this, who are we to say otherwise? If the sousenkyou isn't compulsory (which makes management get money), I doubt this ceremony is. If she didn't care, she could have sit at home, but she obviously wanted to be there. If idols are supposed to be an example, Momoka is giving a very good one: be yourself.
And the reaction makes it feel like there's no difference between saying "she shouldn't wear a dirty old suit to the ceremony"and "it's wrong for women to wear suits" I'd also like to throw in that I'm not judging her but the costume. It might not seem like an important distinction to some but it is to me.
I don't like it, but i'm not judging either. I love girls with ikemen look, but that is not ikemen at all and too edgy for my taste. Now, if mngmt doesn't care, i don't care.
That's has been my issue with Momoka's gimmicks lately. Yeah, we get the message, Momoka is not a ordinary idol by any means yet... now is kinda ordinary that...
Bingo, that's exactly it. If she'd worn a furisode it would have been remarkable for it's unexpectedness. Instead she goes as D̶o̶n̶ ̶J̶o̶h̶n̶s̶o̶n̶ Kinoshita Momoka
Pretty sure that she doesn't give a even if there's no food on her table lol. Also, the ones judging her aren't giving food to her anyways
