That's true right now, but Priority just came out. There's still a few months of promotion to go. Also, she's owning it on Kawaiian. So who knows where we'll be in May.

Edit: it's probably not too much of an exaggeration to say right now NMB's chunk of Kawaiian is basically “Riripon & Kinoshita TV”.

 

For her coming of age ceremony, Momoka wore a suit. That's so her

Perfect angel tbh. She also got loads of coverage for it and got a few articles written about her bc if it and her comments haha. She said her goal for adulthood was:

"My goal in my teen years was to make money, but now that I am an adult I am aiming to figure out how to make money while least exerting myself"

which i thought was pretty hilarious. Apparently the suit jacket was thrifted, and the shoes she bought online.

Anyway I know I haven't been super active here but I found this project for fans of Momoka who want to submit something for her birthday and can't go to HS events and the like! I was asked to do a translation of the categories by a friend so I thought I would leave the link here with translations in case anyone else would like to do this. So for context, the format of this is in a profile book which a lot of young japanese girls use for friends where they give out sheets abd they have fun questions on them about yoy and your love life and whatever which is a super cute idea! It will look like the pictures supplied in the google docs form.

OKAY now for the real content

What you want to look at is the second pic down, labelled 項目１, which is where the form starts. I will basically translate the text as it reads in the Japanese page, and I'll label each space as it goes.

項目１

I am currently supporting ___7___ (NOTE: this says supporting and not my oshi is so i think putting momokas name here would be ideal!) from ___6___ (NOTE: the 6 in this case is the group name, so if you're putting Momoka, you would type her name in for 7 and type in NMB48 for 6. And the 6 and 7 are supposed to be out of order, I just translated it this way into english so the flow was better.) The reason I started liking her was ___8___.

I swear, one day Momoka is just gonna drop this whole thing and become a total bombshell then the whole community will be like

 

The suit was apparently a National Railways uniform which she wore as homage to her father (unclear if he's still around) who was an employee.

 

By wearing the suit Momoka looks like she is everyone's date, escorting these lovely young ladys around. I love it

I saw momoka's suit on twitter and laughed so hard lmao, and her comments on her job aspirations, lmaoooo. my girl is a goddess. i love her.

i feel like despite ranking 18th in the kouhaku thing, i don't think she'll participate in the elections simply because it wouldn't match with her original views of not wanting to add to the money making scam that ssk is. the kouhaku one was free so its fair game lol

 

Momoka is so cool, she's not afraid of doing what she wants and doesn't really care about everyone's opinions. I wouldn't mind if she doesn't ever enter Sousenkyo, but I have a feeling she would steamroll it if she does. She has a little bit of the individualistic, unorthodox spirit that many girls from the first and second gen of AKB possessed, and among the sea of cute orthodox idols that's a plus.

 

So on the Kouhaku minidoc she claims she's been forbidden to make personal comments in the corridors. I don't know which one would be more awesome, if it's true, or if she made it up.

Sure, but also we're talking about Momoka. Totally possible management actually told her “look, it's Kouhaku, just this once please don't say anything embarrassing on camera, maybe?”

The doubt is the fun part. Even if it's a common-ish joke, the fact that when it's her, you stop for a second and consider whether it's actually true, puts a twist to it.
