AKB48 Team 8 (Idols who go meet you project x Toyota)

I'm seeing you're putting a bunch of photos into the Sakaguchi Nagisa gallery. Is she the (de-facto) leader of Team 8? I'm just wondering...

 

She'd be there instead of Yuiyui and they would change the rest of the set list so that they could fit Yuiyui somewhere else.

Yes, she's the leader... the leading failure of those three.

Team 8 doesn't have a leader, although Ota Nao acts as the unofficial captain. Yet, she doesn't like the idea that much and, to be honest, having a leader for the entire team doesn't make sense because you can't expect Tanao to be leading the members from the East. So, you can say that she is the captain of the West while Okabe Rin is the captain of the East.

Now, concerning Nagi, she's my oshimen, so it's natural that I give her more attention than I do to the rest. She's the reason why I posted so many photos from these concerts. But I also wanted to post those photos from the other members and the obvious place to do that would be the Team 8's gallery, if it weren't for the fact that... you have no Team 8 gallery. And I didn't want to post them on this thread because of the limit of 30 images per post and also because it would make it too heavy for everyone. So, yeah, Nagi's gallery. It's just for these concerts so it won't hurt anyone, I think.

チーム8祭り、小栗＆倉野尾＆坂口が初のソロコンで涙

ＡＫＢ48チーム8による「新春！チーム8祭り」が開催された。初日の14日に行われたのは、メンバーの小栗有以、倉野尾成美、坂口渚沙の初ソロコンサート。トップバッターの小栗は、初めて一人きりで立つステージに緊張気味の様子だったが、「制服の羽根」や「チームゆいゆい推し」などをキュートに披露した。倉野尾は「プラスティックの唇」や「ＬＯＶＥ　ＴＲＩＰ」などのダンス楽曲で、キレのあるパフォーマンスを熱演。一転、「夜風の仕業」はピアノの弾き語りでしっとり聴かせ、観客を魅了した。3公演のトリを務めた坂口は、長久玲奈のギター演奏に合わせて「アリガトウ」を熱唱。会場から大きな拍手が送られ、笑顔を見せた。また、それぞれのコンサートでは、母親から送られた手紙が代読される場面も。3人は、活動を支えてくれている母の思いを知り、思わず涙していた。

Can we finally admit that Nanamin is the third eito or those butthurt and annoying Nagi fans won't allow that yet?

After watching the Jiji videos again some of my initial ideas changed a bit. Yes, Naru is still the best of the three, but it's kinda unfair to compare her to the others from those samples since in the first song she's doing lip sync, in the second she's resting while playing the piano and her voice isn't as good as it was during the lip sync (still better than Yuiyui and Nagi) and in the last song she's crying instead of singing. Yuiyui and Nagi were moving during their songs and we all know that most of the 48G girls are terrible when they have to sing at the same time they're dancing. Yuiyui's voice isn't great, but it's a bit raspy when she sings which might hide some of her flaws in the future (or not). Nagi's voice could be interesting if she could sing (and she doesn't, at all. This is how it would sound if she could); it's kinda horieyuiesque at some moments (you won't understand what I'm saying), but she loses breath quite easily and she has also another problem: her voice trembles a lot. Not as much as Mio, but still a lot; especially in the end of the sentences. When she was singing standing still (with Kurenyan) her voice was a little better (not good, just better).

So yeah, Naru was still the best, but I want to see more of the songs were she has to dance.

The DVD will make them sound better.

I blame this dude that asked her to marry him a while ago because this is the 3rd time he got rejected. the trick is to ask her to become your friends first like Shiorin have says many times because she can't like someone unless they have been her friend for a really long time(Even though she never have a boyfriend in her lifetime and have a phobia against the human race due to her severe case of Hitomishiri).
And she said that wishes to hear "絶対友達になろうな"zettai tomodachi ni naro instead of zettai kekkon shiyou na"絶対結婚しような"(she hate this phrase) for a long time now.
But one of things I like about a lot of team 8 girls is that they don't really give out easy lip service and say no when they really mean no. While some fan might think that they should do it for those guys that fantasize the pseudo relationship but you kinda have to go to Tsurishi girls for that.

And feel bad for Hiimaru because she just recovered from her back injury and already had no time for her exam due to Iwate tour into TDC concert.

 

Sigh...I'm not against the three girls but giving them a solo concert at this stage of their career seems so reckless...

And yet, recklessness is something that's been missing in AKB over the last few years. The same old people being promoted for the same old concepts. Nothing new, nothing too exciting, we just got too much used to it. The truth is these concerts were all over the (entertainment related) news. With just a Team 8 concert people would probably ignore it if they're not into Team 8, but with the solo concerts you have everyone saying how unfair it is, you have people discussing it. And it's also a way of Toyota saying "We're here to stay and we're damn serious"! They already waited almost three years: it's time to do some damage.

The most shocking move by AKB's management shouldn't be turning Majisuka into a hostess club series.

(And, c'mon, it's not like they had a Yokohama Arena or Saitama Super Arena concert. They were part of a sort of a Team 8 weekend festival in TDC. Eitas packed the place and loved it, so...)
