^When I was quickly glancing at those pictures, specially the white Bikini ones, I thought the pictures were of Sakura for a quick second. A lot of times magazine layouts would have more than one 48G girl so I thought "Oh, Mako and Sakura did a magazine layout together". Then I stopped to look better and realized it was only Mako. lol.

I never realized that they have some similarities with each other until now.

I've watched the YT videos that reveal the trick so know what the girl has to do. Knowing this, I got to say Mako did an excellent job. It looks real, you can't see a trace that she is contorting her body in any way.

 

Yes, you can. When she first climbs into the box, and she adjusts the lower edge of her blouse, you can see her legs folded under her. And at one point when they are wheeling her across the stage, mid-song, you can see Makotin shift her legs.

 

@hjr1891 Is there any videos of the performance? I've had a look around and can't find any with that cut in half thing.

 

Not of that song that I have seen. The whole 2-hour thing has been broadcast, which means it is out there for DL.

 

I didn't know she was sitting Seiza, I didn't think there is enough room for that.

I thought the trick has her sitting sideways to the audience with her legs dangling into the middle box section and her upper body twisted forwards. The illusion works if she can twist 90 degrees forwards without showing it. There was a black cloak like cover they put around her mid waist so that helped cover up her posture.

Funnily enough I am the original uploader of the funny Kojimako video. It's reminded me I need to do a sequel at some point.
