Album AKB48 8th [Thumbnail] (17/01/25)

Got my cds today! Saw the delivery man a block away, was mucking around in my car after I got home and by then he'd already left a 'we'll try later' card haha! Got it redelivered just now tho - pretty psyched since this is my first event I've had to pay for (I don't count nationals as paying since most would buy the cd anyway).

I got two silver tickets too. They're for the cd signing right? From my understanding you can nominate who you want to sign on the day but it doesn't mean you get them, right?

Also I got Mayu for one of my photos, so I can't complain! (Well, I actually haven't listened to the songs yet, so maybe I can www)

 

I think it is first come first serve. I threw away my silver tickets along with CDs and photos though. Don't need any of that

 

As I understand it the first 300 people per member with silver tickets will get a signing. What I'm not sue about is what happens if you turn up for a slot where a member is signing but you don't have a 2-shot ticket for that slot with that member. Are you turned away or do you join the queue and just have the signing without any photo? My guess though is that you have to also have the correct 2-shot ticket.

Finally played Ano Hi no Jibun. It's a rather slow ballad. It's not the same type as Solidemo's Sail Away. It cannot beat Boku wa Shitteiru.

Curious about the sales.
I hope it doesn't go below 500k today.

Miles better than Hikari to Kage whatever.

 

AKB48's 8th Album (Thumbnail) 1st Day Sales
Day 1: 565,840 (1st)

Very little better then the last album's 1st day (542 to be precised) with 0 to 1 no Aida sold 565,298 on Day 1.

 

Who was at #2?

 

DA-ICE - Next Phase (37,226) and Suchmos - The Kids (30,093 was 3rd).

 

Nice to see Da-iCE do that well, I like their "BOND" and "TWO AS ONE".

Aaaaand back to our regularly scheduled AKB discussion...

An expected amount of sales really, considering the last album was three months ago and the album sales never seem to go too far past half a million anyway.
Looking forward to getting my copy.

0 to 1 was released in November... of 2015.

1830 and Tsugi did go past the million in the long run though.
But I guess those are the perks of them being released in the middle of the AKBoom era.

Agreed - if you are talking long term, there are million sales for at least two albums. Again, a different time :/ Short term, though, wasn't ever going to be a huge amount.

 

Dakara Kimi ga Suki Na no ka is the best song for me
Fall in love at the first time listening to it
It's so good (super sweet melody and super cute song, dunno about the lyrics yet but i think about falling in love am i right?)

 

Keeping pace with the last album is quite good I feel. Lots of powerhouses have graduated since so that's accetable.

 

hmm lol i thought at first that 565k is not good enought but then i checked the past 2 album sales and i think this might do better on first week total

 

Have listened to the new songs. I think my favorite is 'Baguette' and 'Ano Hi no Jibun'
Mayuyu's voice always make the song sounds sweeter
