    Nikkei power rankings are out.

Here's a pic of the spread of popularity among female celebrities. With our Sakamichi girls' names romanised.

Horizontal: fame (percent of people who know you)
Vertical: interest (percent of people who know you and would like to see you more)

Ikoma and Shirashi are the top two famous of Nogizaka.
Keyaki is close to Nogizaka about fame.
Captain Sakurai is no where to see

I wonder which axis is it better be on if the members only have to be on one? To be interesting or to be famous? Obviously, further up and further right is the way to go. It seems like being interesting is the easiest. Being famous slightly tough.

And wow, even with a 4 year head start Keyaki is just as famous and interesting as Nogi.

I won't comment on which is better, but fame is a bit less stretched out than interest.
Interest ranges from 35-85% but fame ranges from 0-100%.
So differences in fame look smaller than they are compared to differences in interest.

Just for fun i'll go with interesting. The interesting ones are on the right track to gain more fame, while the famous without any interest whatsoever ones are going to lose their fame at any moment

So the girls are doing well, with the groups on the hot zone and most of the girls on the promising zone

hmm, people found interest at you, that's on you. anyone can be famous for whatever reason, by any means.
of course if you can achieve fame and gain interest from others, that's the way to go. so i'm not saying one is better than the other.
well, Nogi is there, some of the girls are there, it's all good ;)

Basically both are important, but when you're not famous enough you need to have a high interest otherwise if the small amount of people who do know you find you not interesting, you will have a hard time moving forward. As the fame increases (which is more visibility) then interest will probably go down unless you have a really good year because interest is (probably) a percentage of people that know you and find you interesting and it is harder to please a lot of people. You want to start on the green zone then move towards yellow zone and ended up in the purple zone. If you ended up in the blue zone that would be great but probably hard to sustain.

recognition is more important than interest, because interest is calculated based off recognition. basically, interest is irrelevant without recognition, you can't have interest in you, if people don't even know about you. recognition is the main spec talents are after and, of course, it's hardest to get.

it's only natural that talents in the upper left zone all have high interest rate and little recognition - they are recognized only by fans, and fans of course are more likely to be interested in them.

the natural course for talents is moving from left top to right bottom zone (leading or influential figure & stability zone), because you get recognized not only by your fans. of course, the best option is to move to right top zone where you have recognition AND interest.

in short, importance of zones are decided by recognition first (from right to left) and then by interest (from top to bottom), so top zones go like this:
right top -> right middle -> right bottom -> middle top -> middle middle -> middle bottom -> left top -> left middle -> left bottom

Meiji jingu is too big. Those wanting to go, try Aichi or Niigata or Miyagi haha

If venue is too big, your seats most likely be more further out. Im talking about general sales seats.

I'm pretty sure it's because it's so big it's hard to see the stage from most of the stadium.

The big gaps are probably because the tour is built into a busy schedule.
