Honestly, I think it is kinda cool of her to withdraw from SSK. She really doesn't have much to prove at the SSK anymore, we know she is one of the top AKB members even if AKS doesn't want to do shit for her. AKS must be fuming right now because they can't make much money from her this election season. I just hope they don't blacklist her or something.

She probably also has something big coming up soon to be this gutsy?

I'm really happy she finally has something to show for her efforts. The specialist and practical exams seem even harder, so I'm sure she has even more studying ahead of her, but maybe she'll have more time with this break from SSK and having graduated from college.

It was great to see her go to the class and slowly gain the confidence to ask questions. She was getting passing scores for most of the practice exams, but still failing the real exam, so it was good of the teacher guy to suggest going to a class. It must have been really tough for her to sit amongst those other students answering questions correctly while she was still struggling; I totally understand that feeling. But she overcame that and it worked out well for her!

I didn't know Saho was taking this same exam! I knew she wanted to do some kind of weather forecasting, but I thought she just wanted to be a regular weather person like Yukirin. I still haven't seen that seitansai letter so I'm behind on the times...

Kinda surprised she passed the specialist exam the first time but couldn't pass the general exam after three tries... I wonder if she'll keep trying this year. They could definitely help motivate each other.

In one of the Listen episodes, I think April 13, she got a letter from a fan asking about what she's looking forward to in Okinawa and her thoughts on sousenkyo. She only talked about things to do in Okinawa and completely dodged the sousenkyo part... But other than that bit of awkwardness, I've been enjoying this month's shows!

From what she said in the latest (April 20) show, it sounds like they record it about a week before the broadcast. She talked about coming back from Macau, and she was there until the 10th, I think? So that episode must have been recorded after that.

 

@GeoFreak She mentioned having a radio recording on the 4th via mobame, and on the 17th via G+, in either case just a few days before the show aired, though I suppose she could have been recording for the week after.

@sscrla Thanks! They didn't get a whole lot of screen time, but it's still good to see Tomu speaking well on a major program.

Near the beginning of this month, Tomu injured her left thumb (you can also see it in the N-Con video cap above). I speculated in the Minerva thread that this might be why she hasn't been performing, since it makes it hard for her to hold a mic. Then on the 25th she sent out a mobame confirming this was the reason.

 

I vaguely remember something about how Tomu and Saho both injured their hands, but the opposite ones. Saho injured her right one, and one of them was joking about trading hands. I think it was Saho's most recent Showroom on April 21, but it might have been Tomu's Listen on April 13 or 20. I also vaguely remember them saying that it happened in Macau.

Sorry, that's probably not very helpful lol. But if someone listens through one of those shows, maybe keep an eye out for it. Did she mention in mobame how it happened?

 

Tomu is going to graduate school! I would guess from this article that she's going to continue studying economics: http://www.seijo100th.info/message/

 

@GeoFreak I could be wrong, but it seems like 大学院生 could be a little broader in meaning than "going to graduate school"? Or rather, even though that's normally what it means, all she's literally said is she intends to keep studying after college. I'm still waiting to hear something more definite from her via social media.

@wlerin that's certainly a very cute look, she looks like a teenager Her mix of cool/cute/goofy image is one of the many reasons I like her XD I mean if you just look at stills of her, she looks like the cool beauty type, but she doesn't act cool at all hahaha

As a former graduate student, Tomu really is my oshimen LOL
