So from reading this thread, I'm guessing I'm going to be very disappointed when I finally get around to watching the MV...

Calling Darth Akari "Akarin" is very confusing when this single also contains Akarin (Yoshida Akari)

@Berii, @bonjourmarlene yes. 100x yes. That's the biggest problem with having sister group and old gen aces on senbatsu lock--even as new members get added it happens piecemeal and at such a slow pace that we'll never see that kind of camaraderie again in AKB senbatsu, so long as this continues. The older generations and the sister group members are great girls in their own right, and I wouldn't mind one AKB Group single a year or something (or two, including SSK), but if the "mothership" is going to survive, and thus if the entire group is going to survive, it needs a coherent senbatsu.

But anyway, that discussion tends to get virulent.

I like the melody to NnM, but the song's use of the accordion makes me think I'm playing FFXV and riding around a gondola in Altissia.

I liked the song, but the PV is boring, I miss when we had our bikini single. I hope the other songs have better PVs.

One of the best songs they ever did. And the PV is very nice too.

AKB learned from Nogizaka that idols can afford success without bikinis.. Lol

Honestly it's not even about the bikinis. I just want them to do fun summer songs again. Like the reason I love songs and Pv's like Ponytail to Shushu, Everyday Kachuusha etc. is not because of the bikinis LOL you can remove those parts from the Pv's and I would still think the songs and Pv's are perfect idol songs. I just want them to do things like this again. They can very well have pretty and meaningful lyrics, with an upbeat melody and nice Pv focused on the girls having fun. They could even do a ballad like this but with a pretty Pv focused on the girls. think of something like Sakura no Shiori or Sakura no Ki ni Narou. I like Pv's with a storyline as well, I'm thinking of simple storylines like they used to do on their Pv's before (Iiwake Maybe, Everyday Kachuusha, 10nen Zakura etc.)

They can keep the "11 minutes sad documentary with children" for a special project or b-side. Sure, it's a nice thing to do, and the song is fine, but they're idols. Like I'm pretty sure 99% of their fans don't follow them to see kids in a Pv and start crying about it LOL come on. Management needs to give up on this, stop it.

I'm pretty sure even japanese fans (who understand what is being said in the Pv, of course) don't like those Pv's like Love Trip or this one (or the flashmob ones etc.) this is not the type of Pv that you will want to replay a lot. Even just watching it once is difficult LOL Management really doesn't care for the fans.

Love Trip actually had a nice PV :)

It's one of those PVs with real life / documentary-ish element done right.

As for NegaMochi, I think if only they at least gave the last chorus as screentime for the members and do away with the letter giving, and mixed the chorus with the kids with more screentime of the members(on the stage in white dresses), then to some extent, it would be more acceptable.

I love the song, bur I do think the mv is boring.... The kids are very cute, and the girls look great but.... Again a mv that is focused on everything but the girls, other than the ten or so in the frontline the the girls are almost invisible... I'm like long story-mvs but they need to be about the girls, the song or at least have a story... This mv has zero to do with AKB, nor the girls and there is no plot. To make it worse, you can hardely hear the song since it's interrupted by talk, kids singing, letter giving and reading and so on. The saddest part is they could easily have made a great mv for a great song like this!

Actually if I want replayability, I would play the Minna no Uta version (the one with animation). That for me is still the best version if I want to enjoy this song.
