Generally, is it members decision or management decision to do bikini gravure?

 

I'm assuming it's mostly management (that brings them the gravure offers) but some members WANT to do it because they're confident about their body or they know that that's the only way they can get attention.

Someone like Takamina didn't like gravure so she didn't have a lot of it.

I guess some girls could reject offers if they don't mind not getting them anymore (which probably lowers their popularity, after all this is 48G, not 46G or Momoclo). The most popular you are, the more looked-after you are, rejecting offers is kind of dumb in this context. Takamina never felt confident with her body, so she didn't mind rejecting an offer even if that meant never getting another, in fact she probably appreciated being in a gravure black list. But some other girls might be "currently" against it because they feel they aren't in shape or that they are not prepared mentally. Really, in Japan parents who have idol daughters prolly know they are going to appear in bikini eventually.

When we asked Kaho back in December, before the audition, whether she'd be up for gravure, she said she would be up to it, because she was confident in her body. Even though she's short and not as slender as others, they are idols, not models, so imperfections are expected.

Both have to come to agreement I guess. But Yumirin looks confident.

I noticed something interesting If you look at different 48groups from different regions you notice too that japanese (girls) appearance differ from region to region. Sassi from Oita (Setouchi too), so she have somethink similar with other STU girls, but Okada Nana from Kanagawa (Kanto) and she hasn't any similar features of appearance with other STU-girls
