after all, the event has as much importance as the members themselves (and subsequently the fans) give it. If Momoka (and Rika) attained like 900k it wouldn't mean much, but several millions with such margin, that is extremely impressive.

I've started to check Showroom every night just after 2130 UK time to see if Momoka has gone online at 0530 JST and she always seems to be there. I then usually check again about 90 minutes later before I hit the hay and I find she's still there. She does work damn hard in Showroom and IMO she deserves to be rewarded for that.

EDIT: Just taken a quick look at Showroom to see who's online and Momoka is there again with currently 5746 visits in 25 minutes.

Btw, Rika will have an unfair advantage every Saturday night where she can stream after midnight (whether it will count or not we will see about it tomorrow). She is busier than Momoka tho, so might equalize things a bit.

I was also wondering, but her telop said: "Don't throw stars, save them." so I guess not

I assume she already asked the staff whether she can abuse this privilege :^^;:

On the contrary, there're lots of disadvantages of time on her side.
She "had" to do the prowres SR (which doesn't count points) even though she has to wake up 3:00 JST to move to HS event tomorrow (she practically won't sleep). Also, she's not gonna do SR tomorrow because she'll be busy all day.

If it did count, she definitely will try to get some points from it. Also you don't have an obligation to stream during tofu since the majority of them didn't do it. So if she want to get some sleep, she can. It just that she probably felt obligated to stream during tofu since she always do it and her fans probably expect her to do it. She is the SR queen after all.

If Akarin doesn't rank higher (UG high) I'd be surprised.

Harurun mentioned she won't take this event seriously, but even then she should be able to end in the top 80. I guess it's because she hates to lose and there's no way anyone but Onishi can win this. Not even Rikachan, who got a pretty heavy schedule whereas Onishi is, like most of the Team 8 members, free most of the month. Kahotaru is putting a pretty good battle considering she got 1/6 of Rikachan's followers, or 1/3 of Momoka's but much busier than her :awesome: Her lead will shorten the days she's busy with lessons and recording/events, but should increase the days she's free, so hopefully we will gradually slowly increase it.

The SR event is insanely long, especially when so many are taking it seriously compared to last time. Can't remember if Rika got anything other than the trophy last year, though. Maybe this time they'll give something extra, though.

That this event is "free gifting only" is both good and bad. Good, because otherwise we'd be throwing 100-120 Tokyo Towers per day just to keep pace with Onishi. Bad because it made Onishi fans notice they can beat anyone with just free gifts, so if eventually a real SR senkyo is launched (getting a single as prize for the top 16 girls), they'll only use paid items when necessary.

which won't ever happen because AKS wants all the money and they're not going to let Showroom have 80% of the money their members take in. AKB is the biggest thing that Showroom has but Showroom is not the biggest thing AKB has....not by a long shot.

As I said before I think she'll be lucky to crack the top 50. Just because people watch a youtube video (for free) doesn't mean they'll dip their hands into their pockets and shell out money to buy tickets. On the contrary Souda Sarina has a paltry number of views but will almost certainly beat Akarin in the SSK because she's got the more dedicated fans.

Btw I see AKB's ace dancer Honma Mai isn't doing so well, c'mon Stage48 give her some views and we'll get her to do a moonwalk or something :awesome:

I agree with this. People subscribing and watching her videos already give her back her hard work since she gets paid from it unless she disabled monetizing (which I doubt). Otherwisr, there is no other reason to use her subscribers to vote for her lol.

Also, if Akarin does say that she prefers people to vote for her to appreciate her content and whatnot, that's just using her subscribers.

NMB girls are rooting for Akarin, would be surprised if she doesn't rank higher than last year :3 Miruki and Keicchi circles are rooting for her, Shuu's fans not sure, with Fuu already participating.
    Third day results are out:
    • 1Place 大西 桃香(AKB48 チーム8)
      6,701,338 pt
    • 2Place 中井 りか(NGT48 チームNⅢ)
      5,121,389 pt
    • 3Place 森 香穂(STU48)
      1,123,479 pt
    • 4Place 内木 志(NMB48 チームN)
      1,095,127 pt
    • 5Place 佐藤 栞(AKB48 チーム8)
      1,015,781 pt
Onishi widening the gap versus Rikachan, Kaho broadcast only three hours yesterday, so lost most of her advantage versus Kokoro and the others. She'll drop a few positions today as well, since she'll only broadcast for a little more of an hour at night.

I still have hope she'll do better than her rank last year at least and any rank higher is always a win for most of the girls tbh. Plus Akarin is a stable NMB-senbatsu member so it's not like she'll suffer (hey maybe she'll get to center (or W-center) an NMB single in the future lol).

I still don't really get the appeal to Showroom...but I guess it's like a low-version of youtube and it's real time too so it feels more personal. But it's nice seeing that the girls can at least do something like this rather than wait for a job with their respected groups lol. I hope this T8 girl momoka gets more support...just more Team 8 girls is always nice.

These names are members who appear on Showroom almost everyday. Maybe they can defend their positions as long as they keep appearing on Showroom but I dunno if members likes of Sakura & Mayuyu begin appearing on Showroom. Mion was on Showroom last night.

If I'm not mistaken, this chart gets updated every 12:00 JST.

It would be interesting. Too bad Sakura doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of beating Sasshi or Mayu, and Akarin will never rank that high because NMB.

Yeah, there are already enough ways for fans to talk with their idols, who thought adding another would be a good idea! :awesome:

Yep, Mion was there but didn't get enough points to rank at all. Sakura and Mayuyu wouldn't broadcast long enough to accumulate enough points to beat Onishi neither, they are too busy.

I've never seen this name before.

Anyway with regards to Akarin. She will definitely rank better this year but how far she will go is debatable. We really don't know what her youtube followers are like. Also she probably has more fans than everyone in NMB aside from Sayanee at this point so that definitely counts for something.

This makes no sense at all. Her subscribers are not giving her any of their own money when they subscribe. The money she gets comes from YouTube. The fact that she gets money from YouTube already doesn't mean that her subscribers won't want to support her with their own money. Yes they're most probably cash strapped teenagers and young adults (as opposed to the loaded ojisans that some other girls attract) but they can still afford to buy one CD or use one of the many cheaper methods to cast her a vote or two.

Yeah no. The 48 g girls do this all the time.
