@LxC280, "not bad"? In last year's prelims she was 53rd with 5,667 votes and end up being 70th with 14,913, only a few votes ahead of Lemon. She's now 96th in the first day, with 3,819 votes and without any perspective of a huge improvement. This from someone that has been promoted alongside Naru and Yuiyui. It sounds bad enough to me.

I thought if Nagi ranked in sokuho she'd be ok. The thing that "complicates" it is the range is now much wider for DD/hakos. But I'd never call the result "bad", let's not indulge in that prophecy again

 

@LxC280, but she wouldn't if these were the final results. And if you look at the ones that ranked 80 or 90 something on last year's prelims you'll see that only Akarin managed to rank, in 77th. And this year's 80th place will have more votes.

@nvmea, more than a "prophecy" I'm just looking at facts really. And you can't say I've been wrong until now.

@Aka sure, but it also depends if the facts are interpreted as "my girl needs more help!" or "nah, she's done". At the very least I would postpone the 2nd one until the final result is known. Ego lost 5k+ votes for no reason really and I'm still confident she'll rank. That being said, in today's Kimi Dare Nagi ended up being overshadowed by the unranked two which could paradoxically be a problem. She really needs to do some good crying showroom now

but look, they still put her as a center there (unless they just wanted to make her look like a loli) and she beat Yuiyui in being a better cat!

 

@nvmea, the difference is that Ego has an whole structure to support her. It's like Shibuya. She ranked right under Nagi but we all know that she's going to be in the Next Girls or high Future Girls. But you don't see that in Nagi (and other eitos). People were really convinced that she was fine and that they could do it this way. What can help her now? Toyopet? What, 500 votes? A campaign like Naru's? She doesn't have one. And she lost some of her most generous voters.

This era is probably gone...



You could say that some CDs didn't arrive in Hokkaido in time, but what's so different from last year? And it doesn't seem to be a problem for Sayaya.

@Aka curiously, last year also one young SKE star surprisingly didn't make sokuho and didn't rank, although it was close. It seemingly hit her a lot and half a year later she was gone. Can't now recall what prefecture was she from.

I wouldn't need her to cry, but from the outside it then looks like she doesn't care enough, which is not necessarily true. Didn't update 755 as far as I can see, only mobame. Maybe the shock of not being called at all yesterday would offer some different view. Current situation is awkward. It would be good for the team if she ranked, which is why I defend her. But I inevitably feel more sorry for others. Again, I still think there are things which offer hope and I'll reserve going too deep until final announcement. Still lot of time left.

There's this thing that I don't understand about the 48G fans. If a girl applied for the Sousenkyo is because she wants to rank. For what other reason would she do it? What reasons do you need to vote for the person you support? If that person doesn't cry, doesn't write walls of text begging for votes she doesn't care and she's not worth it? What gives? People have different personalities and different ways of facing things. Are people voting for their work or their despair? Saying that your oshimen needs to act in a certain way for you to vote sounds like a lame excuse that people use to feel better with themselves for not spending money. And it's because of that that some girls manipulate their fans. Sure, I agree that they should, at least, set a goal. But she already did that, dammit.

Nagi's oshimen just asks to be number one, she doesn't write huge texts about it, you've never seen her crying for that, she doesn't even use cheap fanservice. Are we going to question how much she cares about the Sousenkyo? And yet, you have thousands and thousands of people in Japan (and China) voting for her every year.

She's asking to rank as high as 16th and people from the outside think she doesn't care enough because she didn't write a post in 755? All that stupid travelling that she has to do that most 48G girls don't have to, reharsing in Tokyo one day, having to shoot a show in Hokkaido in the following day, having a live performance in another prefecture the next day, etc. etc. etc., all those stupid things that they make her do when she should be resting, all the hard (and invisible) work, all of it reduced to a 755 post? Do you know that stupefied face that Gordon Ramsay does sometimes? And yet, I'm sure you have girls that don't do half of what she and other eitos have to getting all those votes without anyone complaining about shallow things.

Yesterday was the first time that Berin was really vocal about wanting to rank. What happened before that? She wasn't even in top 100. Fuck that! What the hell are they doing? What are they thinking? And, apparently, some were even voting for other girls! They're feeling too comfortable, that's the problem.

You know that I do a lot of shitposting and I even make fun of her, but I don't really like misconceptions. It reminds me of that story that @Fourever told me of this dude (I believe he was a Naru fan) that went to the recording of Bunbun and was surprised that all the girls liked Nagi. I mean, we're talking about a Japanese fan!

Like what?

You know what's worse? Let's say that she does manage to rank, but in the low UCG, behind Naru, Yuiyui, Serika, Onishi, Tanao, Hijirin, Ikumin and, who knows, maybe Berin. It's still a very crappy situation, isn't it? So, not only she has a huge task in front of her (well, her fans have) but achieving it might not mean that much to improve her situation in Eito or to, at least, leave things as they are. Unless they want to make her the Ryoha of Eito, which doesn't sound that great either.
