Aeon mall consisted of quite the number of experienced(?) singers and/or dancers while TIF is mostly inexperienced girls or SRers so what do you expect lol

48G are always split between the unskilled girls that have the most fans, and the skilled ones fans shun. STU48 is no different.

The key is to remember that some fans love unpolished diamonds ... a lv 1 char who seem to be the dark horse and the feeling of satisfaction when she made it and the fan was there b4 the gal became popular ( regardless of skill or unskilled ... though I personally feel that if the unpolished diamond becomes a legendary gem it's better)

Absolutely -- that's been pretty much the purpose of idoldom since the first kanban musume competed with others to entice customers in their family's businesses -- watching someone grow over time, under pressure. Everyone loves an underdog story... esp if in your own life you're that underdog, also struggling to excel and progress, right alongside your favorite. :3rd::2nd::1st:

On a slight tangent... it's funny when a fan complains about their idol's or group's work 'being just to sell [y]', or 'this song is only for tourism'. Just like those kanban musume... idols, no matter an individual for a local event or a multimillion-dollar supergroup for Toyota... are *always* selling or promoting something, they don't exist for their own sake. Sponsors are needed to keep the lights on, esp in Japan. :approve:

That's the whole point of 48G, to watch coal become diamond. However, our definition of "coal" greatly differs. ASH girls are underdogs? They have undergone dancing and singing training for years, thus fans could consider them boring because the improvement they might show is barely noticeable. Fans could consider the showroomers boring because they have decent MC skills, even though they are raw in terms of dancing and singing and could show a bigger improvement than the others. Some people like idols while they are loli, once they grow up they switch to others, so for them they are diamonds turning into coal. And some just like management pushed girls, so for them they are diamond and will continue to be until graduation.

    Who? :^^;:

Oh, re: sponsors... was in reference to a convo I'd read in the STU thread, so there's your relevance. Not endorsing spam, just reality. ;)

Debut single delayed til January 31, 2018. Apparently management wants to have the ship fully working by the time the single is released.

Better a mini live than nothing, especially while the theater's not ready, and even more if it includes non-senbatsu members.
