Yamauchi Mizuki (Zukky)

She's one of the best performers of 16th gen, she has the potential to become the ace of her gen, I hope management will give her lot of opportunities to shine.

 

Yeah her dance is amazing, and the lucky zukki thing is so catchy

 

Mizuki is going to appear in the next issue of Bomb magazine in their "Akiba Next" feature released on 9th June. She's the fourth 16th gen to appear in the regular feature which is 4 pages of gravure in a school setting. This is her first gravure appearance so try and support her if possible!

 

I also think that her stage presence and confidence are off the charts. I don't watch a lot of performances but she has to be my favorite performer so far. Lets hope that she never looses her passion.

• she centered (in Jurina's position) "Oogoe Diamond" with Maeda Ayaka during the 1st day of Kojimatsuri in February
• she's been centering "Negaigoto" (in Jurina's position) with Asai Nanami during the KKS stages
• she's in the line-up for two coming-up stages: "Let's go kenkyuusei!" (shonichi on July 28th) and "Sekai wa Yume ni Michiteiru" (shonichi on August 16th)

At yesterday's handshake event one fan asked from Zukkii if she'd like to try appearing as an under member for other stages . The fan thought she might hesitate because she's busy with the lessons for the upcoming stages (KKS and Aoki's) - but Zukkii gave him an instant "Yes!" as an answer!

She's written in her mails that she loves performing so it'd be really great if she got the chance to challenge herself with different stages and gain more and more experience at the theater.

Translated the part of Yuirii's interview where she explains why Zukkii was given the solo unit in the "Let's go kenkyuusei!" stage:

Q: What was the reason to let Yamauchi Mizuki perform "Migiashi Evidence"?

Yuirii: At first I thought Yasuda Kana-chan and Zukkii could perform a dance song together. Both of them seem strong individuals, but Zukkii seemed to have more impact in her dance. I watched them both dance solo, and Zukkii's dancing reminded me of Naana-san. The 16th gen gives off an energetic aura, but I wondered if there are any dance-oriented members. Then I thought that giving a relatively unknown member a solo dance song might be interesting and that it'd have a lot of impact. That's why I chose Zukkii, and to be honest, it was a great decision!

Zukkii: Before this interview, I hadn't heard the reason why I was chosen. At first when I heard that I'd be performing a solo, I felt nothing but pressure... (her eyes are filled with tears)

Yuirii: I think charming 250 people on your own is really hard, but she gives her everything while performing and she's really great, you know - (sees Zukkii's tears) Ah, don't cry~ She's a really good performer, which is why I wanted to use this chance to show that 'a girl like this exists'... Don't cryyy

Zukkii: (her voice sounds really tight) I'm really happy.

At the end of the 2nd round of "SukiNanda" handshake resales Zukkii had sold out 4/12 slots! Though handshake sales do not tell us everything about a member's popularity (and these are already resales), I think this seems a great result for a KKS who's debuted only over 6 months ago.
