    One idol in particular that I am currently supporting, Tanifuji Misaki of KissBee. She is kind of a Haruppi, Maeda type, looks wise, and she has personality to spare. She is currently on a drama with Sakurai Sho.

    IMO, she is not overrated at all. In fact, I have met her twice, and she was very nice each time. I still listen to her solo single. And yeah, she does look like she has "filled out" a bit, but I still think she is cute. I'd love to see her again, except I'm not sure if she does fan events anymore.

    Based on this, I would like to propose the following:

    Imagine that idol groups are like sports teams and that they can trade members between them. If you were the one to decide it, who AKB would 'buy' and who they would 'sell' for the 2018 season?
    AKB should be considered as the whole group. And to make it more interesting, there is a limitation of 5 ' buyings' and 5 'sellings'.

    Buying idols would go against the philosophy of "polishing the diamond from the rough" that Aki-P seems more fond of.

    Sorry to be a grammar cop but I really hate when people confuse “their” “they’re” and “there.” I’m pretty sure it’s a carelsss mistake but it bothers me a lot LOL
    Seeing that it’s AKB only, I would be surprised since AKB=48G

    Then you should transfer her to MLS, the biggest retirement league in the world haha
    Maybe someone a little better but also old like Yukirin can go to Chinese league


    More on topic, I’d say they’ll definitely pull from sister group members for the “AKB48” performance

    I'm pretty sure they will do a Kouhaku-senbatsu like last year, and make AKB as 48G again. AKB is 48G anyway LOL even if they go as AKB they'll take the senbatsu members which includes sister groups. Last year too the sister groups weren't invited separately, if I remember well, right?

    I also think they'll do like with Paruru and have Mayuyu do her last appearance as AKB / idol in Kouhaku. to add an emotional touch (I'm here for it, I want Mayuyu to be in Kouhaku one last time!). This along with the Kouhaku-senbatsu would make AKB's performance interesting enough.

    Yeah, they’re doing it for sure.

    And I wouldn’t be surprised if they made the fans pay a (small) fee to vote or something.

    They basically showed that the Kouhaku SSK mattered to them by putting Akarin and Shiichan in every single until the SSK, so fans are probably more willing to vote this year, so even if it’s 100 yens, they’ll pay it.

    the Kouhaku ssk last year was more important than this year's actual ssk since the previous one counted for 2 singles.
    i don't think people took it that seriously last year but if they do it this year it's gonna be a bloodbath lol

    You will probably see members begging for votes more than the last one. Their SNS suddenly becomes more active. Some probably will make an absurd pledge. Since they now know that it is really beneficial to be selected in it, I wouldn't be surprised if most member will be more aggressive in trying to get your votes compared even to the normal sousenkyo. Thus, bloodbath.
