That seems to be a Chinese translation. While it's not like I can't read Chinese (I'm probably more fluent in Chinese than Japanese in many aspects), I'd personally like to have the Japanese text as well. I wonder if any is planning to translate the BRODY interview. I'm not sure if I would do it (have other things to do and my Japanese isn't 100% top-notch, it being self-taught off the internet), but if no one has any plans, then I could do it.

 

In the meantime:
Can't read chinese well, so I skipped over many words, but it's enough for me to catch the gist, and I would guess that the part she thinks people will start to hate her is the part where she wants to become center. Because taking up senbatsu position but being absent for so long is already considered bad, but now she aims to become center as well.

I doubt her existing fans would hate her for such desire, but rather it's from non-fans / antis. She said in the interview she cared about others' opinion about her a lot, which I guess is why she addressed them saying it's okay to hate her.

The rest I don't think is notable, except maybe the one where she used Oshima Yuko as an example of a short idol who can center, which makes Zuumin thinks someone short like herself can also become successful center. This may also be potential flamebait.

 

This part really jumped out at me too. She seems to really have an issue getting over her height. She's mentioned it before how she thinks no one will see her in the back rows and even lying about her actual height on official group information.

 

Is it possible that she is planning to quit keyakizaka and go solo? thats like the worst case scenario

her on hiatus means she wont be appearing in keyakake again?

 

i thought the latest hiatus is only until the new year. having read her latest interview with pon, seems like she's looking forward to that center position.

 

Can she withstand the burden of center with her current health issue?

It's nice to see that she's really close to Yuipon. Their songs (when present) are always the highlight of a new single.

I like how her drive for center is still strong. Regarding her fear of being center, I feel like that's how all of the centers feel about their position, including Techi. If you're the current face of the group right now, there's no way you'll be able to avoid backlash. People will just find things to nitpick at regardless of who it is (and sometimes in an unconstructive manner too).

As someone who can completely understands where she's coming from, I feel like it's a natural thing for short people in general. No matter how many positive remarks I get from people about my height (we're "fun-sized," we can hide in small spaces, etc.) or no matter how my tall friends complain that they wish they were shorter, it's something I can never get over with. I give myself an inch or so every time I have to fill out an application where they ask about my height lol.

I wonder if she ever looked at Sayanee as a role model, because she's also short and she's been NMB center PLENTY of times.

I don't think any of the Kanji girls expected Keyaki to have the "no-smile-idol" image when they first started. They were (and still ARE) Nogizaka's sister group after all...

 

This might sound dumb of me but

When the Doctors said Zuumin will stop her activity on the End Year doesn't that mean she won't be gone for too long and that she was just absent for the Kouhaku perf?

Considering they say "at the end of the year" rather than "next year" and the announcement was made before 2018 AFAIK, I think it was just missing kouhaku.
