Welcome everybody to Episode 172 of Stage48 Countdown, I'm Forrest Fuller. On Today's Episode, we will be having our first Best of 2017. What Normally would be the Biggest Moments episode is now the Best of 2017. The Best of 2017 will have 5 Categories.

So let us began shall we. First Award is Comeback Member of the Year. This is for the girl who made a Comeback this year after not having a great 2016, and the nominees are,

Congrats to Yoshida Akari on Winning the first award of the evening (Comeback Member of the Year). Akari Yoshida has one hell of a 2017, somebody who wasn't even on Managements radar in 2016, she ended up getting popular later that year (Due to her Youtube) and was in surprising in all 4 singles for AKB48 this year and went from 77th (After 64th in 2016) to all the way to 16th. Talk about one HELL of a comeback.

Our Next is for Breakthrough Member of the Year. This is the girl who had a Breakthrough in 2017, and the Nominees are,

Pretty Obvious right? This girl has been on fire ever since the 2017 SSK. She shocked the World when she ranked first in the Prelims, and shocked even more when she managed to stay in the Top 5 as she was 5th in the SSK. Since then, she has Joined an agency (HoriPro), become a full time senbatsu member for AKB48 (Is apart of the Media Senbatsu), and has centered the 2nd Single for NGT48. Looking forward to what her 2018 will be like that.

Our next award is for Song of the Year. This is the best song from the 48/Sakamichi Groups (Single or Coupling), and the nominees are.

AKB48's 48th Single Negaigoto no Mochigusare takes the award. Centered by Miyawaki Sakura and Matsui Jurina of HKT48 (Sakura) and SKE48 (Jurina) respectively (Have always wonder who really would be centering this if Kojiharu wasn't graduating, because I feel these two would be centering Shoot Sign and somebody would have centered this). But anyways, Negaigoto was a pretty different sounding single as it would something you haven't heard from them, and it worked so well.

NGT48 was announced in January 2015 and the 1st Generation was revealed in July of that Year. They made their debut on August 21 and originally were going to have their theater opening in October, But it was moved to January 10, 2016. Since then, NGT48 has been going pretty good.
