Maeda Atsuko (Acchan) / 1st Generation

Thanks for posting. It's been a while since I've heard that lovely singing voice of hers. That first spot, with her ''idol hairdo'', made my heart flutter a bit. For a second, I thought someone had transported us back to 2012 or so. Heavy sigh.

 

Acchan is to star in a spin-off of FujiTV's Autumn 2017 drama "Minshuu no Teki ~ Yo no naka, okashikunai desuka? ~" (Public Enemy ~ Isn't the world strange?")



Acchan plays Koida Mia, a former gravure idol in the main drama. In the spin-off, her past as an idol will be featured so she will be singing and dancing in the scenes of her idol days.

Oh my God!!! That would be really interesting to watch, definitely! Thanks for sharing man. I'm a bit loss the information about her lately. Seems like she will be the main actress in the dorama?

I'm all for having Atsuko as the main actress!

　女優の前田敦子さんが、12月5日放送の番組「7RULES（セブンルール）」（関西テレビ・フジテレビ系）に出演し、プライベートを明かすことが11月28日、分かった。多い時で「週に5日遊ぶこともある」という俳優の柄本時生さんとの様子や、普段は見られない休日の過ごし方も公開する。

　番組は、人気アイドルグループ「AKB48」を卒業してから約5年が経過し、26歳になった前田さんの素顔に迫る……という内容で、カメラはドラマや時代劇映画の収録現場のほか、プライベートにも密着する。普段は「とっつきにくい」と言われることもあるという前田さんだが、「せっかく密着してもらうんだったら、うその自分はいらないから」と話し、恋愛についても現在の心境を語っているといい、“いつもしている七つのこと＝セブンルール”も明かすという。

　「セブンルール」は、さまざまな分野で活躍する女性に密着取材し、彼女たちが“いつもしていること”を七つ見つけ、「なぜそれにこだわるか」を掘り下げる。俳優の青木崇高さん、芥川賞作家の本谷有希子さん、タレントのYOUさん、お笑いコンビ「オードリー」の若林正恭さんも出演。毎週火曜午後11時に放送。

 

I wonder if Akb will ever find a 2nd maeda atsuko the absolute ace . Because I really hope akb48 will be at the top in Japan like they used to be again.

 

Two drama roles for Acchan:



Maeda Atsuko will star in TV Asahi's Agatha Christie SP, she will play a housekeeper "Nakamura Aya" in Miss Jane Marple series's "4.50 from Paddington" (Japanese version).

Acchan has been gone for a few years now, so they've had ample opportunity to discover, groom, and push a worthy Maeda 2.0 and, so far, not even close. Mayuyu and Sasshi were/are stellar idols and excellent in their own way, but Maeda was a legend in her own time. Tough to duplicate that phenomenon.

 

After acchan's departure, the face of AKB wasn't the center anymore, the soukantoku became AKB's face. I doubt they'll ever go back to a single center when they have the luxury of shuffling centers for every single now.

 

Nooo acchan is acchan forever, she's legend.. if there is anyone whose able to become acchan 2.0 then acchan won't be special anymore. No one can be acchan, that's why we have sasshi & mayu.. they're having their own way. When they're graduate, no one can replace them too.. that's the meaning of legend. They're supposed to be irreplaceable, I hope the next ace will have their own way to become irreplaceable too..

 

Acchan is irreplaceable. The closest is Techi from Keyakizaka46 in terms of star power. Techi has her own stuff she needs to work out, but just wait until, just like Acchan did before, blooms into this beautiful flower.
