I don't know if Indie groups can be considered as rivals though? Yes, even with some members being hopefuls of MNL, unless they get a big producer/record company, I personally wouldn't call them rivals.

a big time company definitely is needed. then they are a rival group. Is GMA 7 ready to adopt them? TV5 or what?

 

Wouldn't know. Aidoru Sozai is just now revealing its seven members and the other one just opened up their Facebook, no revelation of their members yet.

 

actually, they are seven members, represents each rainbow colors.

 

They already have JAPH dolls under VIVA records- you might wanna check them out. They are half filipino and half japanese thats why they are called JAPH ( JA- Japan PH- philippines), they are similar to SNH48 to me since they have that kpop vibe.

EDITED:

Since MNL48 havent debuted then with japanese-filipino members,therefore JAPH dolls are considered first japanese-filipino girl group in the Philippines.

 

As for MNL48's rival, I joked about it with my brother that TV5 or GMA should get the rights for an international sakamichi group: Makatizaka46. Or maybe BGzaka (bonifacio global)/Mckinleyzaka (for the high-end, classy image).

about their performance for week 8. I would go for group 1 and group 5 because they are all in same aura and doesn't overlap each other.
